Charming place. Good location to Palermo. Main floor common spaces are cozy and inviting. Our room was clean, large bathroom. Layout was a little unconventional...It looks like two buildings have been joined, but very nice.

My first time in Argentina, so I booked only two nights to make sure I liked the place. I stayed six nights because of great location next to Palermo district. Small but very clean room. Comfy bed and towels. At first I didn't like the no window, but actually room was dark and quiet so I slept very well. Breakfast is austere but adequate- cereal and bread only - No proteins. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi is reliable. There is a bicycle shop just 80 meters nearby where I rented bike to get around the city very easily. I recommend Hotel CR and would stay here again.

This was my fourth stay with a group. We stayed two weeks. The staff is always very welcoming asking about your day. We enjoyed using the roof terrace, often all of us, 17 people, arriving on the roof with wine, salami, cheese, bread and fruits to enjoy dinner and an evening talking with the stars overhead. The owner, Yann Poulhazan, welcomed everyone personally. Rooms were always kept clean with fresh towels. A continental breakfast was included and the breakfast room is where we all started our day. This is a small family owned hotel in gentrified neighborhood with many fine restaurants, grocery stores, public transport, tango milongas nearby and the streets safe at night. This is how to enjoy Buenos Aires.

The Hotel Costa Rica may just be my favorite place to be in all of Buenos Aires!! Charming historic building, beautifully decorated, located in a wonderful Palermo neighborhood. The rooms are simple but lovely, opening onto open air hallways- yes, as other reviews have noted, the least expensive rooms have private bathrooms located outside the room, so if you want an in-room bathroom just confirm with staff at the time of booking. The common areas- indoor lounges, breakfast room, and rooftop terrace are simply SUBLIME, and the staff could not be kinder or more accommodating. Most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in hospitality. Truly, Hotel Costa Rica is an ABSOLUTE gem, and the only place I will ever stay when in Buenos Aires. Shockingly affordable to the quality of stay. This hotel is simply THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best room (18). in a very comfortable hotel. Staff were very good too especially when our taxi didn’t arrive. Plenty of places to sit with a glass of wine including a roof terrace 24 hour reception. Great location in a quiet district which you will appreciate in such a busy city.
