    A great stay at an amazing value-for money hotel

    Excellent experience. The hotel is very well located at the heart of Buenos Aires. The lobby is convenient and comfortable to have small meetings in a relax environment if needed. Rooms are very spacious. The room service is attentive to detail and rooms are very clean. Just in case I usually stay on high floors but a colleague staying at a lower room did not complain at all about noise. The best probably is the size of rooms.     Can’t really complaint except for it feeling ‘soulless’

    This was not a hotel chosen by us but one selected by our cruise company, Quark, for one night before flying to Ushuaia. We didn’t love it and it would not have been our choice. But we also didn’t hate it, and nothing in our short stay is worthy of a ‘complaint’. It was just ‘so so’. It didn’t have the feel of a five star hotel as stated, but nor did we really need 5 star either - it just very much felt like a business or conference hotel and certainly did not fulfil its promise of ‘refined design’. It felt like it’d had a recent make over of the rooms with a big splash of ‘standardisation’, stripping the room of soul and making it just like any other hotel room. That said, if you are looking for space, that’s sure what you get!!! We could open up and lay out all our suitcases on the floor and still have room to move around freely, and we believe we were only assigned an entry level ‘deluxe room’.  Breakfast to serve the hoards who were heading off on the cruise was VERY average.  What can you expect I suppose, but the quality felt around the ‘Holiday Inn Express’ level, if even that.     Location is great for my needs.Their atmosphere is great, a cozy elegant ambience.     A bit pricey for my liking.

    This was the hotel offered by Hx Expeditions, prior to our Antarctic Expedition. We were only here for a night. The check in was quick & easy and we got our room straight away. Room was beautiful and very big, facing the hotel garden. We decided to have a quick lunch and a drink at the bar, took so long to arrive and VERY pricey.     Avoid Hotel Emperador for better options in Recoleta

    Hotel Emperador certainly nails the location, placing you right in the heart of Recoleta, but that is unfortunately where the perks end. It is truly disappointing to find a property marketed as a five-star establishment failing so spectacularly at the basics of hospitality. We stayed for a full week, yet our in-room coffee supplies were provided only on the first night, and the breakfast service was, frankly, abysmal. It is hard to shake the impression that the hotel is struggling to remain profitable, as the pervasive atmosphere of penny-pinching and the noticeable absence of standard services make it clear that guest comfort is no longer their priority.For the price point they are demanding, the experience feels entirely out of sync with expectations for this tier of hotel. I strongly encourage anyone planning a trip to Buenos Aires to look into the myriad of other choices within the Recoleta neighborhood. There are several alternatives that are comparatively priced but offer a level of service and attention to detail that actually honors the "five-star" designation. Save yourself the frustration and choose a property that treats its guests with the standard of care they deserve.
