Location

This hotel is located in the most charming district of Argentina's capital, in the neighbourhood of La Recoleta, one of the city's most elegant areas which is bursting with cultural heritage. Close by guests will find the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA) and the Palermo Gardens and the nearest links to the public transport network are 500 m away (Aguero railway station). The shopping venues of Alto Palermo are 800 m away and it is 5 km to Plaza de Mayo.

Facility

The hotel has 3 suites, 7 single rooms and 35 double rooms, which are located on 9 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing.     Well located and not too bad given price

    The hotel is well located in Recoleta reasonably close to the metro and of course the famous Recoleta Cemetery. Room was on the smallish side, but OK for a solo traveler. Probably a bit of a squeeze if a couple. Front desk staff were efficient but not overly chatty or friendly. Room servicing was good. Breakie is basic - I didn't have high expectations given cost. At the end of the day, the room was clean, safe and secure. If you want the add on's and extras, this is not for you.     Worst Hotel in Buenos Aires

    We stayed at the Epico Recoleta Hotel in Buenos Aires, there were no other hotels available because it was the holiday season- The room was very small. When we entered the room for the first time we found a cockroach on the wall above the bed, disgusting! Housekeeping shut off the air conditioner everyday when we left and opened the windows to let in the hot humid air, came back to a humid room daily. Front desk was not friendly at all.     Great location, poor execution

    The hotel's location really is superb. You've a 15 minute walk to Av. Santa Fe and a 15 minute walk to La Recoleta. Taxis swarm the area and there are lots and lots of opportunities to eat and have a cafe nearby. This is the hotel's saving grace.The rooms are small, I had a larger one with a lovely terrace view. Maintenance is poor - everything has paint flaking off, dirty grouting and the shower head was bust just to name a few. The bed was, in fact, two that had been pushed together, so hardly ideal. On the top floor, there is a water heater I believe, and when it's warming - it makes a banging noise that can wake you up. Given the size of the rooms as well, you're going to be hearing a lot of your neighbors and when they are coming and going. The lift is tiny and has two doors but no alarm. More than once I walked up/down 16 flights of stairs. Also, they will loan an iron, but, no ironing boards.I was there for a week and managed to eat breakfast once (very very limited coffee+alternative) and an evening meal once as well. I asked for a gin and tonic, and these folks, put it into a cocktail shaker and "mixed" a gin an tonic. It also took about 20 minutes - in an empty restaurant. Service was less than friendly and quite incompetent.I cannot bring myself to recommend the hotel, which, because of high occupancy due to its location doesn't see the need to improve. Night and evening staff (Daniel and Jose) would do anything for you. Their colleagues were less than inspired.I was unlucky - the G20, FMI and Lollapalooza were in town, so had to stay here.     Great, Safe Hotel. Perfect area. We visited Buenos Aires 12/17. Our kind of travel, in my opinion, is practical and flexible. We are always on the move. Argentina’s capital is a city that requires weeks to make a dent on everything that you might want to see and experience. On our most recent trip we stayed in about half a dozen hotels in half a dozen different neighborhoods. This hotel is small and frequented by tourist. Is economical and safe. Get a map and walk around, safely, at any time of the day. Recoleta Cementery is a brisk 15 min walk. Surrounded by many parks,green areas. All in all a starting point to a fun area in the Capital. Point of my review, small but comfortable. Great value, small simple eggs and toast breakfast, juice and coffee. Beware, small, a bit cramped for a family of three.     Nightmare!

    This experience was a nightmare!
