  This hotel was my first choice when I started planning my trip to Buenos Aires. I was guided by the photos posted on various websites, but I was not very determined after reading the comments of other tourists. In the end, I decided: the architecture of the hotel and its location convinced me. And I was not wrong. I would like to mention, from the very beginning, that, based on my previous travel experience, this hotel does not meet the European 4-star standards. There are quite a few shortcomings, so maximum 3 stars. The hotel is well located in a central area, with access to buses and quite close to walking distance to the metro stations, Retiro central station or the Buquebus ferry terminal. It is almost incorporated into the building of a very frequented mall (Galeria Pacifico) and with access to the Florida shopping street. I arrived at the hotel very early in the morning, after a significant delay in the flight and the transfer from the airport. It was an almost wasted day of accommodation, for which the hotel should have offered a free late check-out, but it didn't. Lack of orientation! I quickly received the room, with the subsequent formalities to be carried out later. In the morning I was able to properly assess the property: an accommodation space in a beautiful historic building, renovated on the inside. My room - concept queen room - was extremely spacious, with a large and comfortable bed, bathroom with bathtub and shower, a little dark and with a minimal offer of toiletries. TV, minifridge, safe, wifi internet available throughout the hotel, a few mismatched chairs. On the floor where I was accommodated, the AC system worked centrally, so there were only two options: with or without AC. Access to a small terrace with a raised wall. Although located on a busy and noisy artery, the room was very well soundproofed. Daily cleaning service, extremely detailed. Slightly tired interior, with obvious needs for improvement. The breakfast room, located in the basement, quite spacious, managing to take over the busier moments, although rare. The breakfast offer was the same every day, sufficient for a start to the day, somewhat varied. However, the staff responsible for breakfast was not extremely attentive: there were a few days when they were completely absent from the room for long periods, without taking care of restocking, given that the offer had completely disappeared. Guests simply walked around empty plates and had nothing to choose from. Beyond these moments, I would particularly appreciate the attitude of the entire reception staff: attentive, polite, helpful, professional. They constantly offered me advice and offers for tourist services, excursions, local transport or airport transfers. I thank them for all the support they gave! In conclusion, I recommend this hotel.

  Major work needed

  I would not recommend this place until some major work has been done. The place was dark. We had people trying to open our door late at night. There was no hot water. The air-conditioning was not working effectively - it was a really muggy and hot night, so it was uncomfortable.The bed was clean.

  Stayed here for one night prior to joining a cruise in BA. Slept well due to exhaustion more than anything I think, bed was ok but a little hot, AC wasn’t controlled from individual rooms, quite a bit in the room & bathroom needed refurbishing. Breakfast was dire. Great location though.

  Would not recommend.Good point - location, staff are polite and that's it Bad points where do I start!! In bath shower leaks out of bottom of bath floods bathroom, very slippery very dangerous never dries it's completely flooded , air con barely works, laminate flooring badly fitted, tatty mismatched bedside furniture, disgusting mattress, no kettle, wardrobe doors mismatched and stained, no plugs in bathroom for bath or basin. Hair dryer glowed orange and smelt of burning wires hanging out of wall, basic breakfast, scrambled egg and hot dogs or toast,cereal and oranges, only fruit or herbal teabagsThe whole building is in desperate need or refurbishment and there's an unpleasant smell in reception and in the rooms that they mask with sickly air freshener, hotel toilet dark and concrete floor I could go on - just don't goNo restaurant, feels is like a hostel not hotel and not a 4 star hotel- 2 star at best and that's based on location onlyOur opinion Stay anywhere else!!

  Great lock but quite noisy

  The hotel is in a nice location but the street looks a very busy and the room was quite noisy. I had to sleep with earplugs in because of the street noise.The hotel decor is something special. The artwork spread throughout the hotel is interesting and original.The beds were very comfortable but the shower was very difficult to work. The taps were very sensitive and we found the water either too hot or too cold, but rarely where we wanted it to be.
