  Lovely hostel! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable dorms, in a fun, artsy neighborhood. Very convenient to restaurants (cafe for breakfast right downstairs!)

  Great place whether you’re just passing through or starting your stay in BA. The hostel offers excellent value for money, with comfortable sleep and most of what you need.Special thanks to Cony at reception – she’s very helpful and also organizes programs for guests, which makes the stay even nicer.Overall, a really good experience.

  disturbing and disrespectful hostel where is a THIEF!

  The worst and most unsafe hostel, definitely do not come. I am a traveler traveling alone, the first problem I had in this hostel was the disturbing attitude of the receptionist named Leandro. When I talked to the person in charge, I did not get any results. I had to stay because I paid for 2 weeks in advance. And on my 3rd day, my 450$ money was stolen from my room during the day. I asked them to look at the camera, they never did. When I wanted to leave, they wanted to cut off about 40% of my money. I cried a lot, I was very stressed and I really wish they would close down as soon as possible.A bunch of money hungry people who never help. Their supervisor Matheus is a cocky guy. The guy who helped me there was none other than a young man named Fede and a young girl whose name I can't remember. And I think the employees who bothered me took my money. Otherwise they would have looked at the camera to help me.Soy un viajero que viaja solo. El primer problema que tuve en este hostal fue la actitud incómoda del recepcionista, Leandro. Cuando hablé con el encargado, no obtuve ningún resultado. Tuve que quedarme porque había pagado dos semanas por adelantado. Y al tercer día, me robaron los $450 de mi habitación durante el día. Les pedí que miraran a la cámara, pero nunca lo hicieron. Cuando quise irme, quisieron quitarme aproximadamente el 40% del dinero. Lloré mucho, estaba muy estresado y realmente desearía que cerraran lo antes posible.

  My first hostel experience was a very good one. I stayed in the Punk Rock themed room and it was very spacious, the AC worked well and it was close to the shared bathroom. Play Hostel has an activities director, Cony, who is wonderful and plans fun activities seemingly everyday. I attended the mate (local herbal drink) making presentation the first night and it was a great way to meet other travelers. The sense of community really made a difference.

  You get what you pay for! Overall, the hostel did the job as a safe place to sleep, cook, and hangout. There is only one bedroom with AC (their website and Hostelworld both said it had AC which we assumed was everything or at least all rooms, so we ended up upgrading our room after 2 nights there). The WiFi is iffy but works close to reception. Showers were always clogged. Great place to walk and uber to things.
