    Shocked

    rating10 Apr 2025

The lobby is good, but that's where my pleasant experience ended. Maintenance had to let me into my room, which required a shoulder butt into the door to open it, after unlocking it. Extra security, I guess? Unfortunately, the interior of the room was badly dated. The bathroom with its brown toilet, tub and bidet seat looked like something from the 70's and along with the rest of the furniture, it may well have been. The tub had big chunks missing. The mirror had huge black spots on it. The wallpaper was torn and peeling. Some places on the wall had water stains. Paint work was sloppy. Oh, and I was one floor up from the lobby, so it was plenty noisy. There was a big football match in town, so I ended up paying top dollar for this, perhaps the worst hotel I've seen in ten years. Avoid it. Gestor de Experiencia, Guest Services / Front Office at Regente Palace Hotel, responded to this review Mr. Roger B, we are truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at our hotel. Good value for money, and great staff.

I was working in buenos aires, and i decided to extend my stay and i chose to stay at the hotel I stayed at with my husband in January, and We had a good experience. Check-in was smooth, and they were accommodating to my requests throughout my stay. Each morning, I was treated to a variety of pastries, and local specialties, simple and good. The dining area was also well-maintained, with attentive staff ensuring everything was replenished promptly. The location of the hotel was another plus point, as it was conveniently situated near many of the city's attractions and within walking distance of great restaurants (there's a very good restaurant just around the corner - one of the ones I like best, good and cheap, with real food - Santo Manjares ) and cafes (Confiretia Ideal - my favorite one). This made it easy for me to explore Buenos Aires without spending too much time on transportation.Overall, my experience at this hotel exceeded my expectations, thanks to its comfortable accommodations, great value, and the friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. I'll be back again.

Customer service that's second to none

    rating14 Mar 2024

Others have commented that some aspects of the rooms are dated and tired BUT everything functioned perfectly, the linen and towels etc were spotless and the air conditioning perfect. Any shortcomings in the fabric of the room were however more than compensated for by the warmth and efficiency of the staff. Eliana welcomed us at reception and couldn't have been more helpful and amiable. Her colleague Rocio was similarly disposed, and nothing was too much trouble. Roberto, the concierge was constantly available to assist too, and always ready to go the extra mile. The array at breakfast was extraordinary with constant replenishment and variety. The staff there too worked tirelessly in keeping on top of things - no idle chat or constant looking at mobiles... and unusually in our experience the cutlery was polished before being placed in the baskets. The staff and ambience they created made our stay a joy. We have stayed in other hotels in the city, some seemingly more swish BUT I would return here without hesitation. Thankyou for a memorable experience Annie Baricco, General Manager at Regente Palace Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for your detailed and positive feedback! We're delighted to hear you had a memorable stay with us. While some aspects of the rooms may seem dated, we're glad everything functioned perfectly and was spotlessly clean. We're especially proud of our team members Eliana, Rocio, and Roberto for their exceptional service. Your kind words will be shared with them and the entire staff. It's wonderful to know you enjoyed our breakfast and appreciated the attention to detail. We're honored that you would return to our hotel without hesitation. Thank you for choosing us, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!

    Reasonable price, solid accommodations

    rating21 Jun 2022

We traveled around Argentina, using BA as a base, so we checked in and out of this hotel 3 times, and it was a good experience each time. If you scan get pesos at the blue dollar rate, it is much less expensive to pay in pesos, but even if you pay with card to American dollars, the hotel is very affordable. The rooms were fine, though the beds were a bit hard. The breakfast was okay, and if you didn’t like it, you can get breakfast anywhere for fairly inexpensive. We ate dinner there once, and it was fine and we’ll priced. Not really an experience for those looking to be pampered, but a solid, well located, well priced place for young travellers
