    The hotel location is very good. The staff was very friendly. The room was very spacious. It is not 5 stars because breakfast was not very good and the coffee was below average. If breakfast is not your priority then this hotel is for you. On the + side, there is a breakfast place next door to the hotel and quite good.

    We found The Tango de Mayo not quite what we expected of a 4 star rating establishment. Although the rooms are comfortable, the windows are not double glazed, and the outside noise is very loud, and traffic noise is constant. The room safe was not functioning, and we were told told it would be repaired the next morning, but nothing was done. We had friends staying on 2 other floor's and they had the same issue. There are no coffee facilities in the room,and there was no complimentary water in our room,we advised the front desk of the issue on 2 occasions, and nothing was done. The rooftop bar wasn't open at all and the restaurant only serves breakfast . The surrounding area is not that inviting with numerous homeless people camped close by. The bathroom was large but with no withdrawal fan the large mirror was constantly fogged up and of no use. The location is convenient and there are several dining options within walking distance. I don't think I would be a repeat customer mostly due to the external noise.

    We were greeted warmly at reception and first impressions of the hotel were akin to walking back in time. Tango music filled the lobby, ambient lighting and Art Deco style flooring. Our room was beautifully clean and comfortable, with plenty of storage. The Tango theme continues in the room with related pictures painted on the bathroom tiles. I will add, although the hotel is situated on a very busy road, the room was quiet. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of pastries, cakes, milk and fruit. The waiting staff were very friendly and coffee to order was also available. The hotel is perfectly situated for walking to bars and restaurants. I will add, although the hotel is situated on a very busy road, the room was quiet. We would highly recommend this hotel.

    I was stunned by the beautifully designed retro interior decoration of the lobby, restaurant and rooms. The staff are exceptionally helpful. The location of the hotel allows for tour pick up and drop off.

    We loved staying at Tango de Mayo. The building is beautiful and I love the Tango details. It is like stepping back in time. Very comfortable beds and a powerful shower. If you are a light sleeper you will need ear plugs as Avenida de Mayo is quite busy. Great location though. The reception staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, special thank you to Hernan.
