  Lovely hotel but a bit distant from town

  This is a lovely hotel an easy walk from the lakeside. Staff were helpful and the room was very nice. However it is quite distant from the the town and the shuttle bus is not very helpful - only starting in the afternoon and finishing early - so unless you have transport or hire a taxi you may be stuck in the hotel on an evening. Since the food was good this was not a problem for me. It is well worth visiting the Lago Nimez nature reserve the other side of town to see many birds. It is 90 minutes walk along the lakeside which would have been pleasant but for the very high winds which made it uncomfortable. I was told autumn is less windy .   Very nice!

  The hotel is beautiful and clean , the breakfast is very good they have multiple selections of food, the shuttle bus service it’s a plus . We use it several times and they are always on time , receptionist we’re all very attentive, I love the fact that they use WhatsApp for any questions or concerns , staff for the restaurant are very nice and kind, we recommend this hotel .   The hotel is very beautiful, but the service is questionable. Nothing is included. If you want a wine glass, it costs 4,500 pesos. If you want them to open your bottle, that’s another 4,500 pesos. Even eating in your room costs 5,000 pesos — and that’s just for the option to eat there, not including the food or service. Basically, everything you want to do comes with an extra charge. The only things included are the overnight stay and breakfast.   Booked here by our travel company but wouldn’t have chosen it as it’s on the edge of town well away from shops restaurants and other services. Shuttle bus service is not frequent.Nice location with a partial view of the lake. We arrived after a medical emergency and the receptionist was outstanding, responding to our needs quickly and efficiently. The rooms are comfortable if a little small. Some noise from conversations and tv in neighbouring rooms. The restaurant was fine for dinner with an interesting adequate choice of options and wine- very good helpful staff. Breakfast was also good but dominated by cakes and pastries. The lobby area was spacious, comfortable and very warm.   Quite disappointed and would have given 2 on 5 if not for the nice lobby and good service from the bar.No assistance with luggage to the room.Check-in and check-out very slow as only one staff at reception.Restaurant has a very limited menu.Hotel is far and shuttle buses are too few, only every hour.Finally the room is very basic and too hot. (Not possible to regulate the heating). We slept with an open window and it was still too hot.
