    Staff good

Its a five star hotel....but it is in dire need of a grand renovation. When new, in the seventies (?), it must have been a state of the art hotel but not anymore. Reception staff very good as well as the really nice breakfast but rooms and the rest needs an upgrade

Do not do it. Trust me. Do not do it!

    rating29 Dec 2024

Horrible. Pictures are from 20 years ago. This place is so run down the staff doesn’t even try to hide it. They let cats roam around the restaurant and obviously understand the owners are not going to put any money in this dump. Rooms smell, food is bad, doors don’t lock, windows are broken. Too many things to say. People who rate this place more than 2 is because they work here.

    More like a 2* Hotel

    rating20 Aug 2023

We have never stayed in a 2* Hotel but if we did, this would be it!! This hotel is one of the worst we have ever stayed in. The hotel itself was completely rundown. The carpets were old, stained, dirty and worn. The rooms were tired, dated and reeked of damp and mould. We encountered several issues with the first set of rooms we were allocated and spent the evening viewing several different rooms, which all in all, were far from satisfactory but the smell was just about tolerable. Now for the food. The quality of the food served at the hotel was disappointing. The options were limited, and the food lacked any taste. We expected a variety of choices to be made available due to the lack of restaurant options within the vicinity. Therefore, the dining experience fell short of our expectations from what is allegedly a 5* hotel!

    Rooms in very bad conditions

    rating05 Nov 2022

Hotel in need of a conplete renovation. Old and dirty carpets create an awfull environment, specially if you are prone to dust allergies. Everything seems to be falling apart in yhe room . The mattresses were ok but the blankets had stains. AC does not work. The bathroom was old but clean. Towels should have been replaced 10 years ago, completely worn down. Breakfast is ok, but very bad replacing stuff when it runs out. I've waited half an hour for scrambled eggs after asking for it three times to three different people. When asked if there was someone responsible for the service the answer was no. The pool and gardens seem to be ok, but I did not use them, so can't say anything in detail. It seems to be one of the parts where an effort is being done to keep things together, with tennis courts, a football field and a pool slide. It does look ok. I'm not sure if the cost to value rate is any good here since this was part of a last minute package to visit Iguazu from Buenos Aires. Bus stops very near to the hotel, so it's good to come and go to Puerto Iguazu. The restaurant has a very basic menu and for dinner only a buffet was available. We did not use it and chose to go to town for food My advice is, if you're looking for a nice place don't come here. If you're not picky and can get a nice deal, I've slept in much worst places in Delhi :)

    It grew on Us

    rating19 Dec 2019

This hotel was booked for us by Planet Cruise as part of a whole S American Package. It was represented as a FIVE star hotel, and that it certainly isn't. We were somewhat down hearted when we arrived, the welcome was fine as was the Foyer, but the whole place looked as if it needed a coat of paint and a good clean. No help with the bags was offered. Our double room on the first floor (second in US terms) was large, but rather dingy and the carpet definitely needed a good shampoo. It seemed a bit isolated so we went for the Supper in the restaurant, which was best got from the extensive buffet, with good choices and as much as you could eat, and we ordered a bottle of wine, which we consumed over the next days - it appears that selling a GLASS of wine is not normal. Over the next two days this hotel grew on us. The staff were friendly and helpful. Five Stars it ain't by any measure, maybe 3 or 4, but the swimming poor and outside is delightful, the staff really willing and smiling, and the beds were comfortable.Over the next days
