  A mediocre hotel that is very isolated and limited service

  This hotel is a far way from being fancy and somewhat worn out. The site is completely remote, so you have to stick to the not very good restaurant for days. This hotel has two groups of staff with different attitudes towards service. The reception staff does not know the word service at all, while the cleaning staff are very helpful and the restaurant staff is OK. However, the cleaning part is very oddly scheduled so after having left the room just after 8 o’clock in the morning and been back not until a quarter to four in the afternoon it was still not cleaned. The room is not that bad, but I dislike the lack of doors to the open closet. The worst thing of the room is the lack of real shower. You have to use the bathtub. One of the positive facilities of the room is a small balcony with a view, for our room, off the forest, but almost without any furniture. However, the main advantage is the large swinging pool area.   Lovely hotel in a great location for the falls (short bus/taxi ride away). Staff were very polite and couldn’t do enough to help you, especially Oscar in the restaurant. I would recommend this as a good value hotel for your visit to the falls.

  Very good first impressions, quite a grand entrance with lovely grounds and large swimming pool at the side. You can imagine that this was a really attractive hotel when first built probably 50 years ago but it's showing it's age in places now. Light and spacious general areas despite the dark wood. The bedrooms are roomy with large balconies but are very tired and need a complete refit, especially the bathrooms. The plumbing is very noisy and the water temperature near impossible to control making the shower and sink dangerously hot and unpredictable especially when it is unclear what the various knobs in the shower are for.The hotel is approx 20 mins drive from the park and 20-30 mins walk from the town centre. Pavements are not in good condition and the street lighting is poor so we didn't chance it. Fortunately there is a little restaurant across the road on the left called 'las terrazas' , great food and service and a nice ice cream parlour opposite. The Nicasia Malbec was delicious!Turn right out of the hotel and go to the confluence of the 3 rivers and theres another nice restaurant below the viewpoint.

  In need of modernisation.

  Overall average experience. The location is good - on the edge of town so can walk to restaurants and close to Iguazu Falls.However the hotel is in desperate need of maintenance and modernisation. The Aircon didn’t work properly and the tap leaked for example.The lunch food is also horrendous, had two meals and both horrible. This was surprising as the breakfast was nice, a lot of variety.   A lovely room overlooking the jungle just a short walk from the Tres Fronteras Monument where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay rub shoulders with one another. Excellent breakfast and a great pool with plenty of loungers and shaded areas to escape from the heat of the day - highly recommend this if you're visiting the falls.
