The hotel is located in one of the city's most exclusive districts, just 10 blocks from Salta's bustling centre. Guests enjoy panoramic views of the Lerma Valley and can relax and enjoy their time in the welcoming neighbourhood of Monumento. They will find the nearest shops (Alta Noa Shopping) at 10 minutes' walk and bars and pubs on Calle Balcarce and Plaza 9 de Julio are just a 15-minute walk from the hotel. It is 40 minutes by car to Dique Cabra Corral and 2 hours' drive to Cafayate. Salta Airport is just 9 km away.

Facility

The holiday village has a lift and features 145 rooms, including 7 junior suites and 3 suites. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. The pool complex includes both indoor and outdoor pools, which are in part heated. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Parasols on the terrace are also available. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the complex offers cycling/mountain biking. Sport and leisure facilities at the complex include a gym, callisthenics and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the holiday village, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and a solarium. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and a casino.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant with air conditioning, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options.

    The good thing is that the concierge was super helpful with organising trips. The bad starts with the hotel itself. I think it may be the oldest in the Marriott chain. It looks like it was built in the 70s and nothing's happened since. I appreciate the challenges of investing in Argentina but there are now many nice boutique hotels in Salta, which might explain why they were full and this one mostly empty. For Bonvoy members seeking points only. Second, the management thought it was a good idea to allow an event with loud music from 4pm to 11pm at the pool, which all the rooms face. A complaint got a promise to turn the music down and to end at 10. That didn't happen so it took another visit to the lobby to get the staff to finally do something about it.     Small hotel in beautiful Salta, Argentina. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The hotel was super clean and well kept. I would definitely go back!

    We had such a wonderful time at the Sheraton Salta! Fernanda Guerrera, Johnathan, and Abigail were so friendly and accommodating, as was the entire staff! The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was very good and the pool and gym were great for a workout. There's also a nice mountain with over 1000 steps next to the hotel which we hiked every day. And nearby in town, there are several excellent restaurants, all within easy walking distance. Overall a wonderful experience and we hope to return!

    Would not recommend based on the fact that the mattresses seem to be very old pillows were not comfortable in the rooms haven’t seen a renovation in my guess of 15 to 20 years. Location however, is very good and for that I would recommend a visit.     Exceptionally High Marks for Sheraton Salta Hotel

    Staying at this property was delightful and exceeded all expectation. The location is ideal - offering excellent access to the center of town, great views of the valley, and close proximity to a lovely and historic park. The service was exceptional and the rooms clean and comfortable. For me, it scored a perfect 10 on 3 ‘must haves’: a comfortable bed, great water pressure (seriously amazing temp and pressure) and reliable/comfortable HVAC. The food was great and afternoon tea time each day was ‘over the top.’ I have stayed at much more expensive properties and have not had service and amenities this nice. My compliments to the management and staff. Staying with you was a pleasure. Special recognition to the salon staff, the front desk and housekeeping staff.
