  Excellent location in the middle of San Martin de Los Andes. Great rooms with breakfast.   “Felt like home — even for our dog!” ??

  Lovely hotel with a cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff. Everything was spotless and comfortable. They even welcomed our Labrador, Fokker ?? — that made our stay extra special.   Super noisy, passed a horror night

  The room was super noisy. The entire night had loud music from cars, people singing and shouting in the street returning from a nearby club and on top of this the taxi company next door, where all the drunks gathered to find a taxi to go home. All this destroyed my first day where I felt like a zombie due to the lack of sleep. Besides nice staff I don't recommend this place, smell in room, shower mal functioning etc. During breakfast it was cozy with all dogs taken by other guests. In short this place is a super over priced hotel where I don't recommend people to go for that price. Lucas Dagnino, Propietario at Hotel del Viejo Esquiador, responded to this review Buen día y gracias por tus comentarios!Nos parece rarisimo lo que mencionas en cuanto al valor ya que somos de los hoteles mas baratos en San Martin de los Andes, estamos hablando de que muchas veces tenemos el mismo precio que hostel y al mismo tiempo cuentan con sommier king size y blanqueria de primera categoria y calidad, Smart tv, aire acondicionado (practicamente ningun hotel en la ciudad cuenta con este servicio) y un desayuno super abundante!

  Pleasant, convenient hotel

  This is a lovely hotel in a fabulous location with friendly, helpful staff. Room with balcony had good amount of space and hotel was very clean. Hotel is not new, but was a pleasant place to stay. We walked everywhere. The staff helped us with a hike location and dinner reservation, and in both cases were happy to help.   Youth hostels do better than this. Avoid!

  I advise all international visitors to stay away from this place. As a family staying in 3 rooms we got: tiny rooms, musty smell, meagre breakfast, no hot water on one morning and wifi that failed to work throughout the entire stay. My brother's back was covered with red blotches that looked like insect bites. The hotel made zero effort to compensate or even say sorry for these issues, which we addressed upfront during the stay. The owner was downright rude asking us what did we expect because they are the "cheapest place" in town (NB: we paid 80 euros per night at the unofficial blue rate during high season). It could be cheaper at other times of the year. But it's "cheap" for a reason, I guess. To say we left disappointed would be an understatement. I urge all international visitors to avoid this place. Pay more and stay in a better hotel in this beautiful town. We bitterly regretted staying here. Hubo maltrato al momento de comunicarte hacia nosotros, negamos absolutamente todo lo dicho, primeramente no son feas las instalaciones, no es malo el desayuno. Mismo también estas pagando una de las tarifas mas económicas de San Martín de los Andes, y aún así los mejores servicios de relación precio/calidad.Nosotros siempre estamos bienvenidos a nuevos con criticas constructivas para poder mejorar y brindar un mejor servicio, pero de la forma que lo hizo estamos totalmente en desacuerdo, ni que nos traten mal ni de mala manera, y menos de que mientan.Te pedimos porfavor que reveas tu comentario.Saludos.
