  What a lovely hotel. Great location overlooking Ushuaia with well equipped rooms with no sign of wear and tear. Great restaurant and very attentive bar team. Warm and friendly welcome.   The food, atmosphere, staff and excursions were all wonderful!   The only bad thing for me was the location, and even that is a weak argument. The setting and views are amazing, but I missed being close to the excitment of the busy downtown.The rooms are quiet, the shower simply awesome, and the food was great. Staff like Julieta make trips like this so rewarding. Her help at dinner made our evening perfect.If this trip to the Antarctic wasn't a once in a lifetime event, I would stay here again. The bottom on the world is awesome.   Not good enough from the management.

  This should have been a 4 star review but the hotel management have a lot to answer for. Firstly the positives. + most of the staff we encountered were exceptional. A booking error by our tour operator was overcome with minimum fuss at checking and the room was large either 2 double beds, safe and stunning views over Ushuaia. The hotel is modern and light and bright. There is an infrequent shuttle into town if needed but a taxi is only 3€. And now the negatives. - the room needs to be on the upper floors in order to get the views we had. The rooms are way too hot even with radiators turned off. To open the windows gives access to bugs. Expect to sleep on the top of the bed. The hotel is 10 minutes from town and the shuttle bus is infrequent. The biggest issue however is that myself and my wife are vegan. The hotel were aware of this when booked and stated they could accommodate us without issue…… well this promise was not true. We spoke to the breakfast manager (one of the least polite and uninterested people I have come across in the hotel industry) wrote to the email to the management to explain our frustration at the lack of options even on a buffet style breakfast ( we even resorted to bringing provisions we had purchased externally). On day two of three we booked for a lovely meal in the restaurant, only to be informed that of the two dishes suitable for vegan or vegetarian clients was not available. So what did management do about this….. NOTHING. They waited until we had checked out and were awaiting our private transfer to the airport to come and tell us they had read the email and were sorry and would try harder. Not enough and too late. This is a complaint regarding the managements dealing with issues as much as a complaint about the food.   Great views; not quite perfect stay.

  This hotel is a good choice if you want to stay outside the city in a rustic area of Ushuaia. We booked a third-floor room with an excellent view. There were only four rooms on that floor. The room decor was tired, which detracted somewhat from our enjoyment. There were other small, annoying details like the non-working bidet and the worm on the bed pillow. We enjoyed our two dinners at the hotel restaurant, with its spectacular views of the city and harbor, and helpful, friendly staff. We were happy with the dinner menu choices. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Across the street from the hotel was the start of a hiking trail that led up the mountain, around past a defunct ski area, and back to the hotel. The hike was about two miles, mildly challenging, and was very enjoyable. We stayed both at a hotel in the city and at Los Acebos, which we decided was a really good way to experience Ushuaia.
