Location

The hotel is located in one of the most exotic places in the world, on the shores of the Beagle Channel and with a beautiful view of the snow-covered peaks of the imposing Andes mountain range. About a 15-minute drive from Ushuaia town centre with its tourist centre and the Tierra del Fuego National Park, plus around a 20-minute drive from the Martial Glacier and the cross-country ski runs at Tierra Sur. The Cerro Castor ski resort is about 25 minutes away by car.

Facility

The resort has 3 junior suites, 2 suites and 49 double rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Cyclists can make use of the bicycle storage area and hire service. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with individually adjustable heating. Most units have a sea view. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The resort has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The heated swimming pool allows guests to enjoy a swim in any kind of weather. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including cycling/mountain biking, golf, fishing and horse riding. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing, snorkelling and diving. The complex's location is particularly ideal for skiers. Ski passes are available locally. After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Wonderful hotel in Ushuais.

    Los Couquenes Resort is a beautiful hotel surrounded by water and the snowcapped mountains in Ushuaia. We were only here one night on an extension from our Antartic cruise but the area is fantastic and nicely highlighted by the hotel. The hot items on the buffet breakfast were a bit cold but the rest of the breakfast and the dinners were excellent.     Excellent hotel offers very large rooms with lagoon and Andes views. Outside seating includes 2 enclosed glass cabanas with 360 degrees views. Best to make reservations for one. Reinamora restaurant serves Bfast, lunch, dinner. Amazing fish dishes, cocktails, seafood salads, desserts.     A Serene Stay on the Beagle Channel

    This hotel was the perfect choice for our three nights in Ushuaia. The location, right on the Beagle Channel, is absolutely beautiful and serene, with stunning views of the water and surrounding mountains.The restaurant was very good, and the glass houses on the patio were a standout feature. Dining there was a unique experience, allowing us to enjoy the scenery of the mountains and the Beagle Channel while staying warm and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable.Overall, we had a great time at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ushuaia.     Fantastic Retreat Resort

    A fantastic location, beautiful hotel, incredibly friendly staff! This was a wonderful trip made even better by our stay here. Ushuaia has become one of our favourite places now. This resort is a MUST STAY for anyone coming here. Do the Navigation Boat ride with Mattias (also one of the Concierge's) and Ian at reception is great. All the staff go out of their way to make your stay special. The lake is beautiful, the mountains behind are lovely and the hotel itself is warm and inviting.     Los Cauquenes offers an exceptional stay thanks to its spectacular location overlooking the Beagle Channel, providing truly memorable views. The staff is consistently professional, attentive, and helpful, contributing to a very pleasant overall experience. Particularly noteworthy is the high level of expertise and professionalism of the guides, which greatly enriched the excursions and activities.As a minor drawback, the bathrooms appear somewhat dated compared to the rest of the hotel’s standards.Overall, an excellent choice in Ushuaia for comfort, service, and an outstanding natural setting.
