  Too far out of town, poor vegetarian food

  This hotel is not in Ushuaia, it's 4.5 miles outside of the town, with only three shuttles per day back into the town. You'll need to use Uber to access the restaurants & bars in the town in the evening. We were there over New Year, and paid $150 per person for the New Year Gala. It was a poor evening, with extremely unappetising food. My fish was overcooked and dried out, while my partner's vegetarian meal was a plate of cooked mushrooms. The entertainment was three tango dances performed while we were eating. And that was that. As a hotel attracting international visitors, and insisting that we eat there on New Year's Eve if we stayed there, the chef really needs to learn how to cook vegetarian food. The hotel staff are friendly and hard-working. The bedrooms are spacious, although if you want a hair-dryer book it with reception.The hotel overlooks the Beagle Channel, the views from the dining room are spectacular.   Perfect hotel for a short stay. Beautiful setting on top of cliff overlooking the Beagle channel. Nice service and free mountain bikes are available.   Ruined by extraordinary laundry cost.

  The hotel was nice but they rip you off with crazy high prices for the drinks in your room and for laundry. They don’t tell you it is expensive. The price to wash was more than some of the items cost. Total cash grab. My laundry cost more than two nights stay! These rates can be elevated because it is an additional operational service without staff dedicated exclusively to it.We would like to clarify that the prices are listed both in the hotel service information and in the room, in the same section where minibar, massage, and restaurant prices are displayed.   The venue and views were amazing. Location or distance from everything meant we needed a taxi every time we went out. They have a shuttle which is useless as it doesn't leave until 11 am and half your day is wasted. We missed our first night booked because of airline delays. No offer of any compensation was offered.
