Location

The hotel is located 2 km from the centre of Villa La Angostura in the region of the 7 lakes and 3 national parks. It has a prime location in Patagonia, surrounded by nature with some of the most unique landscapes in the world. Links to the public transport network are on the hotel's doorstep.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 3 suites, 12 single rooms and 12 double rooms located in a 4-storey main building and an auxiliary building. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the holiday village include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park.     I stay at the El Faro hotel every time I come to Villa La Angostura, which I have done twice a year for the past several years. I’m never disappointed. The hotel is beautiful, the views are incredible, the staff is very attentive, and the breakfast buffet is memorable. I stay at a room with fireplace and they leave the wood ready for me to strike a match and get it going. I can also watch sunsets from the jacuzzi. I couldn’t ask for more.     Our stay at El Faro was truly exceptional. As frequent travelers, we can confidently say this hotel ranks among the best we’ve experienced. The location is simply unmatched—you could spend all day and night admiring the breathtaking views. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom that includes a luxurious soaking tub offering stunning scenery. The sauna and hot tub provided the perfect way to unwind, but the highlight was the heated pool overlooking the lake. We have fond memories of swimming there, basking in the sun, and taking in the serene surroundings. The staff were warm, attentive, and always eager to help. They arranged a fantastic horseback riding excursion for us with a local farm and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. A special mention to the front desk team, who made every effort to return a valuable hat I had left behind—a small but meaningful gesture that truly reflected their outstanding hospitality.     The view at El Faro cannot be beat - beautiful mountains and right on the lake! We would like to also shout out the hotel's dinner service. The food was affordable and delicious. They were flexible as to when you can eat as well. Definitely worth the meal!     Beautiful location. If only that was all that mattered!

    We were really excited for our stay. Unfortunately the room we booked based on photos was not the room we got. They put the photos of the best rooms online but no guarantee you will get them and there is a big difference - even though they are same price and ‘category’! This is known and admitted to it (so essentially bait advertising!). Staff brushed us off, were rude and we waited 2 hours trying to resolve, to be told we couldn’t have the room we thought we booked as someone had it the following night. It was late at night by this time so we took the one room on offer. Decided to have dinner in the restaurant - avoid! It was terrible! All in all the hotel is beautiful and stunning views but they are misleading guests and the service and food is not good.     The hotel is very confortable and the custome service is excelent. American brekfast is good. Rooms very confortable. Amenities. Pillows and beds are confortables. Parking is good. In front of lake Nahuel Huapi , the view and sunset is bestiful.
