Top Notch Service & Hospitality! We love it here!

    rating23 May 2026

It’s our last full day in Aruba and our stay has been nothing short of exceptional. We have been searching for a place to go for our 10 year anniversary and since it was only going to be a short trip, we intended to spend all our time in the property of choice so it had to check all the boxes: Clean, good food/drinks, and at the top of our list-service and hospitality. We didn’t want to feel disappointed or let down at any point during our stay. For a while, we were going back and forth between the newer St. Regis property and The Ritz and from our first couple of hours at The Ritz, we knew that we’d made the right choice. We were greeted by Christian at the front desk, who was so pleasant and made our check-in process smooth. Joseph, the front desk manager, came out and took his time to welcome us. He not only gave us an introduction to the property, but he also took his time to get to know us. He made himself available to us should we have any trouble or need anything but so far, we have had absolutely no reason to. The property itself is beautiful. It has this classic, charming, old-world Dutch-Caribbean vibe. It is located on the far end of the strip, so the beach offers a calmer retreat compared to other resorts-perfect for relaxation. There are plenty of beach chairs. We never felt like we had to fight for chairs. The rooms are a bit dated but spacious and beds are comfortable, so no complaints there. They set us up with balloons and bubbly to kick-start our celebration. The service is truly what sets The Ritz apart from others. One step outside the resort and we immediately felt the difference. Everyone greeted us with a smile. A lot of staff made such an impression on us and has made our stay so wonderful. They genuinely tried to get to know us and anticipated our needs before we even said anything. I cannot say enough about them and they are worth mentioning.Emilia from Madera was such a delight. After learning that it was our anniversary, she asked what our favorite drink was and brought it out for us. Our drinks arrived while my husband stepped out. When he was back, Emilia didn’t miss a beat and replaced his unopened beer because she thought “it is now warm.” A perfect example of anticipating our needs before we even realized it. At the beach, level of hospitality shined. Marilyn from the beach graciously set us up with a bimini lounger for the next day. When we got there, we found that they had “Happy Anniversary” balloons set-up. They even set us up with a champagne toast to continue the celebration. Jamaika is a true gem. She mentioned that she is proud to work at The Ritz because it so closely resembles the values of the people of Aruba which we agree with 100% since everyone was so warm and friendly. You can tell she loves what she does and she went above and beyond to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. Andrew was so nice and very attentive. He noticed that I kept having to move my legs to avoid full sun. Without me asking, he offered to move the canopy to give us more shade. Others worth mentioning who also helped make our stay more pleasant were Ruiz & Rousseau from the beach, Jun & Janet from Solanio and Lynn from the bar upstairs. Our dinner at BLT was great. Our steak and lamb chops were cooked to absolute perfection. Service was a little impersonal if not cold, but it’s not something we would have noticed if not for the exceptionally warm service everywhere else. Nonetheless, nothing to complain too much about. Our stay so far has been spectacular. Thank you to all those who helped make our stay so special. The property caters to both families and couples alike. There is something for everyone. We can’t wait to come back and next time, with our daughter! Noori Sushi Lounge

    rating22 May 2026

We frequent Aruba multiple times a year and we always have dinner at the Sushi Lounge at the Ritz Carlton. The view from the upper patio is simply stunning while the food and drinks are outstanding. Our dining experience is always a ten when our favorite waiter, Jenssen, is working. Come check out spicy Mama drinks at the Ritz Carlton Van 🍹☀️🥰

    rating14 May 2026

I came to check out the Ritz Carlton while on a trip to Aruba with my best friend. We came across the most amazing Veuve Clicquot van with drinks served outside. Jose, who is the best bartender who works the van made the most delicious drinks in a coconut and it was delish! He makes the best spicy margaritas that he calls it spicy Mama! Come check it out! Susana de la Oliva, General Manager at The Ritz-carlton, Aruba, responded to this review Dear leva S, Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your experience! We are delighted you enjoyed our VW van at The Bus Stop—it’s definitely a guest favorite. José will be thrilled to hear your kind words! His creativity and passion truly shine, and we couldn’t agree more—his “Spicy Mama” margarita is a standout. We hope this visit was just the beginning and that we’ll have the pleasure of welcoming you back for a full Ritz-Carlton stay on your next trip to Aruba.Sincerely, Susana de la OlivaHotel Manager

    Great Birthday Celebration

    rating08 May 2026

Beautiful beach, nice rooms, best club lounge of the Caribbean Ritz Carltons. Traveled to celebrate a birthday and Zahir, Agnes and Sergio at the club lounge went above and beyond to make it very special! Cabanas at the adult pool are worth it and Gregory was absolutely amazing!! Appreciated the ability to reserve free beach and pool umbrellas the day before and not get up early to play the chair game prevalent at many resorts. Susana de la Oliva, General Manager at The Ritz-carlton, Aruba, responded to this review Dear jenl848, Thank you for choosing to celebrate such a special occasion with us and for sharing your wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our beautiful beach, accommodations, and especially the Club Lounge experience. Our team strives to provide attentive and personalized service, and it is always rewarding to see those efforts reflected in experiences like yours. We are glad you appreciated the convenience of reserving your beach and pool setup in advance—it’s a small touch that makes a big difference in ensuring a relaxing and seamless stay.We hope to welcome you back soon for many more special moments at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba.Sincerely, Susana de la OlivaHotel Manager

    Underwelming and disappointing stay

    rating07 May 2026

The physical resort was a great location and away from the loud hustle and bustle. We had a car which is probably mandatory staying here if you want to go off property but we did walk down by the Holiday Inn area where it's loud and busy.We were mid check in when the person next to us started complaining about the verbiage of their room title vs what they booked. Not really sure how/why but we suddenly were told to have a seat and our room would be ready in twenty minutes. We can only assume that they reassigned our room to this guest. We booked the early flight into Aruba to land at 2pm and arrive at the hotel at check-in 4pm so that we could swim and enjoy the resort prior to dinner. At 4:20 we asked about the status of our room and we were told it was just waiting for a supervisor to complete the inspection which takes 30-45mins which sounds quite unbelievable. I would have expected to be offered drinks/snacks from the bar, but we were told it would be ready soon. At 4:40 a supervisor came by and could see we weren't happy and inquired as to why. I informed her check-in is at 4pm and it's now 4:40 and we were told our room would be ready at 4:20. She went to the desk for 10 mins and came back and told us the room would be ready in 20-30 mins and apologized for the confusion. There was no confusion, check in is 4pm and she is now telling us our room won't be ready until 5:10-5:20, With 6:15 dinner reservations we won't have time to enjoy the pool before dinner. Around 5:15 our room was ready but no one informed the porters. We called down and they were having trouble finding our luggage and our room. At 5:50pm our luggage was delivered in just enough time to get dressed for dinner. The porter that delivered our luggage was 12/10 and asked if we wanted a fridge and fan for the room! The fridge in the room is useless because it's filled with overpriced items vs going to the local market and buying water/drinks at normal prices. This employee gets MVP for the stay and was compensated accordingly!!! While at dinner our fridge and fan were delivered to the room. I should note that we booked our room months in advance and were promised that we would be put on the highest available floor for our room type and given the best view. Our room was on the second floor of seven.Housekeeping did a pretty good job of honoring our preferences for cleaning times. The other reason besides the check in disaster which is not how anyone wants to start their trip was the beach experience. We noticed jet skis operated by employees of the neighboring jet ski rental operating at top speed with in a foot of the swim area. I am not aware of Arubian law regarding this, but internationally when there's a swim area 200 ft is the standard. The following day a jet ski almost struck a swimmer who flailed his arms to get the attention of the operator (employee). The employee then comes back full speed and does a power turn to throw a wall of water at the guest. Every beach employee of the Ritz sees this and every guest on the beach stops and watches at this employee then berates this guest and using vulgar language in front of women and children and when he notices everyone watching him he says "Do not come to Aruba, all of you should not come back to Aruba, stay away, we don't want you here." Not a single employee did a thing to help this guest as this maniac continued to operate recklessly around guest. We reported it with video to the hotel. Where we come from that video alone would warrant an arrest. I contacted the police who didn't even come to speak with me or ask for the video. The Ritz clearly did not address it because for the next four days this recklessness continued. My 11 and 13 year old daughters were terrified during the incident and thought the man was drunk. I was considering renting a jet ski but would never after this experience, nor would I ever stay at a resort that my kids can't safely swim in the ocean. We had high hopes staying at the Ritz. It's not the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at but it was certainly a splurge and we had hoped it would be an amazing experience but next time I'd save money and stay at the Marriott, Hilton, or a time share. Ruth Torres, Other at The Ritz-carlton, Aruba, responded to this review Dear kp34bb,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. While we are pleased to hear you enjoyed our tranquil location and had positive interactions with our housekeeping team and our bellman, we sincerely regret the challenges experienced upon arrival. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in your room readiness and the lack of clear, proactive communication from our team. We fully understand how important a seamless check-in experience is and this does not reflect the level of service we strive to provide. Your comments will be shared with our Front Office leadership to reinforce the importance of timely room availability and attentive guest communication. We also regret that your room location did not align with your expectations based on your pre-arrival request. While we do our best to accommodate guest preferences whenever possible, we apologize that we fell short in this instance. Regarding the beach incident you described, we want to express our sincere concern. The safety and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. However, after a thorough review our records, we were unable to locate any report made to our team during your stay regarding this matter. An incident of this nature would have been immediately escalated and addressed with urgency had it been brought to our attention at the time. While watersports operators are independent and not managed by the resort, we do take all guest concerns seriously and collaborate with the appropriate parties when such matters are reported. We regret that your overall experience did not meet your expectations and truly appreciate your feedback as it allows us to identify opportunities for improvement.Thank you again for sharing your experience.
