Excellent hotel in Adelaide City Centre

    rating11 May 2026

This is the second time we have stayed at the Indigo Hotel and it was as good as we remembered. From the friendliness of front office staff, the check in was smooth and room available a few hours earlier than normal check-in.Great location close to Central Markets and Chinatown and an easy 10-15 minute to Rundle Mall. We loved it and will return on our next visit to this beautiful city.

    Quirky

    rating07 May 2026

We had an enjoyable one-night stay. Check-in was easy, and the reception staff member was very helpful. We stayed in a deluxe one bedroom suite with a balcony. The room was great with a really quirky style, and the fittings and furniture added to its unique character. It’s definitely one of the better IHG hotels we’ve stayed at.The bathroom area was lovely, with nice amenities and a great shower. The balcony was awesome, offering fantastic views all around, I would highly recommend staying in this room type. The lounge area was well furnished with plenty of space for luggage. The suite was also extremely quiet, which made for a very relaxing stay.A couple of negatives: the couch was very low and quite uncomfortable to sit on, although it’s not something you use a great deal during a short stay. I also found the bed to be quite firm with uncomfortable pillows, which resulted in a poor night’s sleep for me, although my partner slept perfectly all night!Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

    Restaurant a Disappointment

    rating15 Apr 2026

Great location right by the Market, with plenty of eateries nearby and an easy walk into the CBD. The staff were attentive, the room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed for six nights and, overall, had a pleasant experience.Unfortunately, the restaurant was a letdown and the main reason for the 3-star rating—otherwise, this would have been a 5-star stay. Based on reviews, we were expecting a high-quality Italian meal not the worse one we have ever had, but it didn’t deliver. Nearby diners even warned us off the pork dish, which they barely touched. We both ordered the tagliatelle ragu, which turned out to be overly salty and oily. In hindsight, we should have sent it back, but no one checked in to ask how our meal was. It ended up being an expensive disappointment. Next time we would return it and go else where. Thomas Zinn, Owner at Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets By IHG, responded to this review Dear danne27Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and for highlighting what you enjoyed — the location, attentive team, spotless room, and a very comfortable bed. I’m glad your six-night stay was pleasant overall.I’m very sorry to hear the restaurant was such a disappointment, especially given your expectations for a high-quality Italian meal. What you’ve described — overly salty/oily dishes and no check-in from the team during the meal — isn’t acceptable and isn’t the standard we aim to deliver.Your comments have been shared with our restaurant leadership and kitchen team to review both the food execution and our service check-back process. Thank you again for calling it out — it helps us improve. With best

    Great Hotel

    rating20 Mar 2026

our-night stay at Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets. We booked a one-bedroom balcony suite, which was excellent—spacious and light-filled.The staff throughout the hotel were all excellent, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was very good, and the omelette I had for breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at any IHG property. The location is fantastic, with Adelaide Central Market and Chinatown just a stone’s throw away, so there are plenty of great places to eat. The hotel also has a nice rooftop bar.The only downside was the housekeeping, which left a lot to be desired. It got later each day despite having the “clean room” sign displayed early—on our last day it wasn’t done until around 3pm. The bed was never made properly, and there was no evidence of surfaces being wiped or any vacuuming. The lack of drinking water was also surprising, especially given Adelaide’s tap water quality. I’ve never stayed at an IHG property without either daily bottled water or a refill station. We received one small bottle with the welcome letter, which has to be one of the most underwhelming welcome amenities I’ve seen.Despite these two issues, our stay was otherwise excellent and I would happily stay here again. Thomas Zinn, Owner at Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets By IHG, responded to this review Thanks for your review, Steve — I’m really pleased you enjoyed the one-bedroom balcony suite and found it spacious and light-filled. It’s also great to hear our team looked after you across the hotel, and that you rated the restaurant so highly (especially the breakfast omelette).I’m sorry, though, that housekeeping timing and presentation let you down during the stay. A service that gets later each day, a bed not being made properly, and no clear evidence of wiping/vacuuming isn’t acceptable and isn’t the standard we’re aiming for. Your feedback has been shared with our housekeeping leadership to reinforce both scheduling and quality checks.I also appreciate the comment about drinking water. We understand that easy access to water is an important part of the guest experience, and we do provide refilling at both bars and the front desk, and I apologise that this was not communicated earlierThanks again for staying with us — we’d love to welcome you back.

    Modern and very centrally located.

    rating07 Mar 2026

We stayed here at the end of a Proud Mary River Murray tour. This modern, interesting hotel is very centrally located, but we did have problems being dropped off due to the narrowness of the streets, a street closure, a long weekend and the fact that two amazing festivals were being held that weekend. But once you’re checked in, things are terrific . Rooms are spacious and modern, beds comfortable, the shower a joy, and meals were excellent. (A special shout out to Julio and Dew who looked after us so well in the restaurant.)Something nicely different. Thomas Zinn, Owner at Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets By IHG, responded to this review Thank you for your lovely review! We're delighted you enjoyed our modern design, comfortable rooms, great showers and excellent dining — and we’ll be sure to pass your praise on to Julio and Dew. We appreciate your patience during the busy festival weekend and hope to welcome you back soon.— Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets
