    Never again!

    rating04 May 2026

Never again!! Food is overpriced and disgusting! Might be best to avoid if you really want to there! Excellent meals and good service and value! Casino and is the go to place. The hotel across road has great meals and excellent service! Well priced. InterContinental Adelaide, Owner at InterContinental Adelaide by IHG, responded to this review It’s disappointing to read that your experience left you feeling this way, particularly around the dining offering and overall value. While Adelaide has no shortage of excellent venues to enjoy, it’s clear we missed the mark in delivering the standard of food and service you were expecting during your visit with us.Feedback of this nature is never taken lightly, especially when it leaves someone not wanting to return. The comments regarding both quality and pricing have been shared with the relevant teams for review.Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts following your stay, and while this visit clearly wasn’t the experience intended, it’s hoped there may be an opportunity to provide a more positive impression in the future.Josh DaviesInterContinental Adelaide

Magnicent hotel with amazingly wonderful staff

    rating29 Apr 2026

We have never been to such a graciously managed hotel! The staff all went out their way to make our stay perfect. In particular Andras the concierge, was outstanding, going to extra effort to assure our comfort. We were so impressed by his kindness and professionalism and also by the other front desk and housekeeping staff . The rooms were at the highest standard and we will definitely return anytime we are in Adelaide. We’ve always been impressed with all the intercontinentals, but this one is our favourite! InterContinental Adelaide, Owner at InterContinental Adelaide by IHG, responded to this review What a wonderful reflection to read — thank you for taking the time to share it.It’s especially pleasing to hear how warmly cared for you felt throughout your stay, and that the team helped create such a memorable experience from arrival through to departure. Andras will be genuinely delighted to receive your recognition, and it’s fantastic to know his care and professionalism left such a strong impression alongside the efforts of our Front Desk and Housekeeping teams. To be called your favourite among the InterContinental hotels you’ve visited is incredibly special praise, and something the team will be very proud of. We’re so pleased you enjoyed both the comfort of the hotel and the service delivered throughout your stay.We look forward to welcoming you back whenever your travels bring you to Adelaide again.Josh DaviesInterContinental Adelaide

    Consider Elsewhere

    rating22 Apr 2026

This hotel is well located. I was there for conference in the convention center. The tram is across the road and it’s a short walk to Rundell St., Mall and many restaurants and bars. However, this hotel has not been renovated.I think since it was built late 70s to early 80s. It is still salmon pink everywhere with a ridiculous arrangement of louver, wardrobe doors and bathroom doors. I don’t think a large person would easily access the bathroom. The service at check-in was questionable. The woman who checked me in said they would take a holding deposit of a dollar. $101 went through on my credit card. When I rang reception to see what had happened as my accommodation had been paid in full, she apologized , however didn’t seem to know what happened. The breakfast I would say is edible but lackluster. Nothing stood out about it. To be honest, I’m surprised that Intercontinental happy to include this hotel as part of their brand as it is desperately in need of a makeover. I was also upset that on the second day when I had left my room at 8:30 in the morning and returned at 2:30 in the afternoon, the room had not been made up. Housekeeping turned up and told me I could sit inside the room whilst they worked, which I found quite rude. InterContinental Adelaide, Owner at InterContinental Adelaide by IHG, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback following your stay with us. While it was pleasing to hear our location worked well for your visit to the Convention Centre and exploring the city, it’s equally clear there were several aspects of the experience that left you disappointed. The concerns raised around the condition and layout of the room, as well as the inconsistencies you encountered with both check-in and housekeeping service, are understood. Returning mid-afternoon to a room that had not yet been attended to is understandably frustrating, particularly during a work trip where downtime is limited. Likewise, the confusion surrounding the pre-authorisation at arrival did not leave the clear first impression it should have.Your comments regarding the overall presentation of the hotel and breakfast offering have also been noted and appreciated for their candour. Feedback of this nature is important, particularly when it comes from guests who travel frequently and know what they expect from the InterContinental brand.Thank you again for your feedback, and whilst this stay did not reflect the experience we aim to provide, we do hope there may be an opportunity in future to leave you with a more favourable impression of InterContinental Adelaide.Josh DaviesInterContinental Adelaide

    First Stop Reassurance

    rating29 Mar 2026

This was our first stop in Adelaide . We arrived on the first night of the Adelaide festival . The hotel is solid , from a former era . It works and the rooms and views are great . You are mixing tourists and local contractors. The breakfast was surprisingly tasty. The location was just right for orientating ourselves on the opposite side of the world. Had dinner there one night having come straight from the theatre in the heavy rain . A nice welcome to Australia. InterContinental Adelaide, Owner at InterContinental Adelaide by IHG, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your reflections following your stay with us. Arriving into a new city — particularly during the buzz of festival season — can be a lot to take in, so it’s great to hear InterContinental Adelaide provided a comfortable and reassuring first stop as you settled into Adelaide. It’s pleasing to know you enjoyed the character of the hotel, the views, and the convenience of the location while finding your bearings. The team will also appreciate the kind words regarding breakfast and your dinner experience, especially on what sounds like a very wet Adelaide evening after the theatre. We’re glad we could play a small part in welcoming you to Australia and hope the rest of your travels were equally memorable.Josh DaviesInterContinental Adelaide

    Excellent gym!

    rating26 Mar 2026

We were looking for a hotel in Adelaide with a highly rated gym. We weren’t disappointed and were quite happy we chose this hotel. The location is great, right in the central city next to the Adelaide convention center. Just a short walk out to the river and all the river trails and recreation opportunities therein. No parking on site. You have to park in a public garage about 200m away. No big deal, but not the most convenient either. Our room was amazing with excellent views over the city. It was spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable – and we had a great sleep. The TV, AC, and Wifi all worked great. The gym was great for a hotel gym, with a good selection of machine weights, free weights, and high-quality cardio machines. We’re avid gym goers and must admit that we were very happy with this gym. We didn’t eat at any of the restaurants so can’t really comment on that side of things. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers looking for a good comfortable base in Adelaide. InterContinental Adelaide, Owner at InterContinental Adelaide by IHG, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review following your recent stay at InterContinental Adelaide. It’s fantastic to hear the gym delivered exactly what you were hoping for. A well-equipped fitness space can make a real difference when travelling, particularly for regular gym-goers, so it’s great to know the facilities, equipment selection and overall setup stood out so positively during your stay. It was also pleasing to hear the room itself provided the comfort and rest you were after, along with those Adelaide views. We appreciate the balanced comments regarding parking access as well. While the nearby public parking options are convenient for many guests given our CBD location, it’s understood that arriving and unloading isn’t always quite as seamless as direct onsite parking. It’s wonderful to know you left with such a positive impression of both the hotel and Adelaide itself. We hope to welcome you back again next time your travels bring you our way.Josh DaviesInterContinental Adelaide
