    Hotel stole our money and made false accusations

    Cannot stress enough how yuck this hotel is. We felt unsafe and dirty. Horrible dirty shower and the smell of smoke in the room. We didn’t complain as we only had one night before we left early. The reception then emailed us at lunch time saying they are keeping our deposit and made false accusations that we smoked in the room as it smelt of smoke.I am pregnant and never smoked in my life. I also had to put up with this smell all night and felt sick myself so I should have been the one asking for my money back, not being charged extra for something they have no proof of. Do not recommend!

    Grand disappointment on a MEGA scale!!!!

    Yes historic, art deco and all that .... but lunch here at 'The Richmond Hotel'.. today was a shocker!! We should have walked out after seeing on 10 people in a space that could host hundreds of guests. Disinterested staff, no staff acknowledged us , no staff sat us down, no staff acknowledged us or came to see what we were there for? Why do companies employ such 'stunted staff'...? If staff can not acknowledge & smile at guests… they should stay home and do their 'hair & nails'!!The young 'pretty waitress' had one chance to do her stuff - instead she stuffed up big time by forgetting to say anything at our table - except the name of the dish she was serving us!! 🙄🙄🙄 HORRIBLE HORRIBLE DUMP which I will NEVER EVER patronise again!! Would have been better to have lunch at any of the eateries in nearby takeaways... with much less disappointment.

    Absolutely Terrible Service

    I recently stayed at the Richmond Hotel and was placed on the same floor and very nearby a VERY loud party. When I checked in, I was not informed of the party and was not provided an option to be further away from the party. By the time I realized there was an event, reception was already closed. The situation was absolutely unacceptable. I am all for people having a good time and I'm happy that party goers were making the absolute best time of themselves. However, non-partygoers should never have been placed in the room I was provided. The party was exceedingly loud with guests screaming (chants of some sort?), singing happy birthday multiple times at very loud volume, going out into the hallway (in front of my room) and being very loud. Attempts to contact reception were fruitless, as it was long since closed and they did not have any staff answering calls The party ended by about 11:30, but party goers were still out and making noise for approximately another hour. I'd hoped to talk to reception and request a refund when I left, but was unable to,as reception was closed when I left ( a Sunday). I attempted to contact the hotel via multiple electronic means for four days before I finally received a response. While they apologized and said they would refund my stay, no refund has been received and it was over a week ago. I've never seen such terrible customer service and would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

    Came here as 2 couples in 2 rooms. Great location but very dated hotel with reception only on duty 9am to 5pm Mondays to Saturdays. The accommodation was clean but everything seemed very old. Not what we expected for what we paid. The bed was comfortable but the room smelled a bit, the shower head was tiny , the towels were almost threadbare and the toilet was old. We would not stay here again. We could not get breakfast due to the renovations taking place just outside. We would not stay there again.

    The worst noisy hôtel

    we stay 2 night in your hôtel friday and saturday .The first night was pretty good but saturday this is the worst night that i can have in a resort We awere on the second floor and there was Private bar at this level with a big event party . The music was so stronger than in a night club we can feel the vibration in our room, people screamed in the corridor.I don't understand how it's possible to be an hôtel and don't respect your guest, nobody informed us about this party, in spite of it happened at the next door of our room.We will really not recommend your hôtel, we were very angry...
