  The perfect chill out B+b

  We had the pleasure of staying for 4 nights and what an awesome place to stay .The owners Alan and Carol are the most delightful hosts ,they made you feel like family and were full of information on local sites to see .Alan is a great character full of funny stories and lovely just to talk to over a glass of his own rather tasty red wine .Breakfast was a delight every morning and nothing was too much trouble for Alan .The b+b's location is set off the main route to either Adelaide or Victor Harbor so an ideal place to stay .We cannot thank our host's enough for such a wonderful stay .If you want to stay i would you book early as it is becoming very popular !!

  We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much at this B&B. Nice rooms with a sitting area and a very pleasant outdoor Gazebo where we enjoyed fresh air amid the grapevines with our afternoon drinks. Thanks Alan for your hospitality and kindness.

  We booked 2 rooms for a night at Southern Vales Bed and Breakfast after reading all the positive reviews. Indeed it is true. Good location, on site parking , lovely view at back of house, good wifi, yummy breakfast , lovely house with fireplace in living area, warm beds with private bath and lounge. Top it all is Alan’s warm hospitality , sharing of his knowledge in Mclaren area, and we tasted his red wine too!This is a small B&B and if you are looking for cozy , small house to stay , likes to interact with host , this is it!

  Lovely local B & B with great host

  This B & B is in a great location in McLaren Vale, surrounded by a lovely garden and vineyards. Allan was an excellent host, but gave us plenty of privacy. He was very knowledgable about local attractions, drew us a map of places to visit, and cooked us an excellent breakfast. He even gave us a sunset drink of a good Shiraz from his own vines.The room we had was a reasonable size, with a separate sitting room, and very peaceful. The decor is rather old fashioned and fussy, but everything was very clean.

  Hosts that go above and beyond!

  Alan and Carol are wonderful hosts who went above and beyond from the minute my partner and I arrived at their b&b. Alan offered to drive us to an event we were attending and didnt hesitate to help when we realised we had lost our bag... he drove around looking for it, called several places to try and track it down and Carol even posted that it was missing on their local fb page...true gems! Our room was cosy (with our own private ensuit and tv area) and our breakfast cooked by Alan was delicious and plentiful. I dont know what he put in our eggs but they were yummo! If you want a couple of nights away at a bnb that feels like home away from home with two lovely hosts, southern vales is the place to be!
