    What a great location for a staycation!

    What an amazing location for a staycation. The closeness to great restaurants, the walking paths out front and the beach was amazing. Our room had sea views but the highlight was the pool! We’ll be back for sure!

    We had a Double Queen Room for 5 nights and luck was with us as having arrived early, our room was ready.As being an old hotel, you can't expect the latest and greatest, for instance sound proofing is non-existent!A good size room , and a complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch! Being surrounded by wine country around Adelaide, was a bit bemused the wine was produced in NSW.All main items in the room were supplied but insufficient lighting if you want to read at night. I think the days of shower over the bath are long gone, and unsafe if you are elderly.Breakfast was buffet style but presentation in some areas left a lot to be desired - 3 out of 5 mornings the poached eggs were hard boiled - mention to the chef, he just shrugs his shoulders and walks away!? Lumps of cheese with no knife to cut - pointed out but nothing changed! Didn't look like a happy crew working there! BUT the biggest annoyance to me was that you pay for breakfast, and if you want barista coffee you have to pay for it! i find that gouging.Thankfully the had a gym there which we used each morning, and easy to walk around as the shops right outside the door and and on the beach foreshore on the other side.
