    Fawlty Towers!

    rating22 Oct 2025

Haven’t actually stayed here yet but I booked accommodation here over year ago and with less than 2 weeks before our visit, I get an email telling me that my booking was cancelled due to the hotel being “overbooked”. For transparency, I booked without looking at the horrible reviews online. Initially, I was angry. My booking was one year old and now I am in a position where I have to find accommodation at short notice and at ridiculous prices, because Adelaide seems to be booked up for our particular dates. I call, ask for an explanation, and I am told that certain levels are “not safe” and they now need to do “maintenance.” Mmmm interesting! Now that I have seen the online reviews, I feel the events have been rather serendipitous. Based on the photos posted by guests, how is this place allowed to operate? There is no way in a pink fit that I would allow my family to stay here. Thank you Cosmo On Bank, you have done me one massive favour!

OH MY LORD! This place NOT fit for human occupation - and they know!! So do Expedia/Wotif and yet they continue to sell this product saying they have no idea!!! I can tell you they do! When we went to check in there were dead animals in the air conditioning units, the ceiling had actually collapsed in places with debris over the room, there was open wires and piles of furniture in the upper foyers and it was dirty!!! DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.

Its was the most seedy hotel if that is even what you would call it.my husband and i stay there in April 2025. we where supposedly in the king room the photos on the web site looked nice but farrr from it .we had a single donna cut in half across the top of the bed ,with i don't even wont to think what the stains were.the floor was sticky .The room was that small you could just move around the bed. The bathroom gross there was mold Broken tiles. the list of the thing goes on .they say a Pictor tells a thousand words . i will let you judge for you self.

THE PHOTOS DO NOT MATCH THE LISTINGOne of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at across Australia. The rooms are not maintained and the bed lining just leaves you itching for the whole day. They could not give you basic instructions and they do not service the room. to operate the elevators you have to hold the button in until you get to your level.

    Disgusting

The hotel is extremely rundown. When we first entered our room, we discovered it being used as a store room for power tools and a ladder, and the air conditioner was partially dismantled. We had to return to reception to let them know and they sent someone to the room to quickly fix it up.The room furniture was in very poor condition and the “king” bed was just two single beds and two single mattresses pushed together. The curtains had holes, the windows were filthy and the bathroom door had holes punched into it.There was no kettle, cups or teaspoons, but there were sachets of instant coffee and sugar. We kept asking for a kettle and a couple of cups but , in the two nights we were there, it never happened. The TV wasn’t connected to an aerial, so it received no TV signal. The remote control was held together with duct tape. The street noise was so loud, we had to wear earplugs at night. The hotel corridors had discarded luggage left sitting about, and there was rubbish and overflowing cages of dirty laundry always outside the lift. The staff were very friendly… but that’s really the only positive thing I can say. This is the worst hotel in which I’ve ever stayed in Adelaide. Although it was cheap, it’s still very overpriced for what it is. I’ll never stay here again.
