    The motel serves its purpose as a one-night stopover en route to the airport which is close by. Rooms are comfortable. Had to phone a number to check in as there was no-one at the reception. Might be an idea to contact guests in the morning of check in with all the relevant details required. Some nice restaurants/bars close by within a 10-15 minute walk.

    Very clean. Good wifi. Easy self checkin. Close to Hamilton Pub with great meals. Has a lift. Good parking. Right on the river.

    Very disappointed in our stay rooms were small & outdated and dirty I’ve stayed in better pub rooms… bed was hard as a rock unfortunately there’s nothing positive to say 🤷‍♀️

    We booked last minute as we needed urgent accommodation and the room was ready and very clean and just what we needed - a comfortable quiet place to sleep for one night. The service was very warm and friendly and helpful. Nice and close to Portside shopping and restaurant precinct. A simple motel room with all we needed. Very convenient for the early morning flight next day.

    Good choice of hotel if you are planning to leave your car at the airport

    Location, location, location, but don’t forget the PRICE. So you have an early morning flight or you are concerned about the inconsistency of the early morning Brisbane traffic, and you are looking for somewhere to stay, at or near, the Brisbane airport. You simply want a room of adequate size, clean, reasonably modern, hot water and a comfortable bed. Well, the Airport Ascot Motel has ticked all the boxes so far. LOCATION, on Kingsford Smith Drive, only 10 minutes to the airport, 400M to Portside Wharf, with more restaurants than you “can poke a stick at”, an IGA supermarket and a nearby ferry terminal for your 50 cent fare to the Brisbane CBD, and the new Queens Wharf (Star Casino) and other city attractions. Almost forgot, the PRICE, half that of the hotels at the airport, according to my Tour Director (my wife), so you can’t really go wrong. RECOMMENDED.
