So far, very nice stay, the employees were nice and helpful and the rooms with balconies have such gorgeous views, i recommend this hotel

Stay at this hotel a few years ago, when it was known as Astor Metropole. Great stay in Brisbane, as I was watching a sporting event at Suncorp Stadium. Spacious Rooms, great views and plenty of home features in the hotel room.

Un kept and un maintained. I was greeted by a lift that has bare wires hanging out of the lift wall. The concierge paid more attention to his iphone than me. I was escorted to my room but there was some type of sticky stuff spilled on the floor and my shoes literally stuck to the floor. Rubbish was lying around everywhere in the gardens, hallways and lifts. Chairs had food ingrained in them and it even looked like a pee or poop stain on one of my pillows.I never saw a cleaner in the 4 days and 3 nights i was there There was ingrained food in my hallway from when i got there to when i was leaving. The sleep deprivation was the worst. I had to go to a neighbouring room at 2"15 am and say "do you know what the bloody time it is? They were having a crack party with loud music and their door open EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.. All of the occupants were trying to talk over the music so it was pretty loud. I rang reception and they didnt seem to care. I asked and begged to be moved to another room. My requests were ignored.I was booked in for 7 nights....i Only lasted for 3 nights. There were no towels or soap either. The swimming pool area was decrepit. Empty and old booze cans laying everywhere + food wrappers and cigarette butts everywhere. I even had blood on one of the sheets on a bed that i didnt even sleep in. Even though it was emergency accommodation provided by Micah Projects, i left early as i felt safer and got more sleep in my car whilst attending my hospital appointments. I never expected emergency accommodation to be 5 star but this place, I wouldn't even give it 1 star.

Don't waste your money staying here

They do not return the bonus, I lived with my husband from September 2023 to June 2024 and I have been waiting for the return of my bonus for more than a month, the managers refuse to answer calls and emails. It is a place where many things are missing and if you ask for them they don't give them. We stayed in this place because it was close to my English school, but we made a mistake because we lost money, it is a place with the worst conditions.

A veneer of luxury…..

…..But quite ordinary. We booked this in the middle of the city to be able to visit family. While it is fairly central, the hills and stairs in the area made it tough going. The room was a good size, with a huge bed and a good-sized bathroom, which actually had a bath! We loved the big balcony outside too. Very useful. But when it came down to it, it became obvious that routine maintenance is not being done. The phone in the room had been damaged, and didn’t work, the air con was stuck on the winter setting, so no cool air, and if the tap in the bathroom sink was turned on any more than a gentle drizzle, the whole area would get sprayed! The lifts were a bit iffy too, and weren’t always working. Bit tough, as we were on the top floor. We gave up complaining eventually, as we were only there for one night. The whole place has an air of neglect, as if the owners really don’t want to spend money on it. Such a shame, as it has the potential to be a stunning hotel.
