    I’ve just finished my stay at YHA Brisbane and I’ll be returning when I’m next in Brisbane. Firstly all staff I encountered were really lovely. Helpful and seemed happy to be at work! I stayed in a 6 share female dorm. It was so clean and the bed was so comfy. I love that they have the updated beds with privacy curtains and bedside light/charging. Saves being blinded awake if someone turns the light on or batting for a free PowerPoint! The air con was also a blessing coming on and off during the stay (I assume climate controlled and controlled by reception if need be) so was nice to come back to after a day in the heat wandering around Brisbane! Bathrooms I found were kept quite clean besides the odd few times when there’s probably been many go through. Only downside of the bathrooms (and my whole stay actually) was the bathrooms got steamy and hot after being used but given Brisbane ca be a bit humid I wasn’t surprised. Ventilation only does so much! Bathrooms also are quite modern. I used the shared kitchen throughout most my stay and it was well equiped. Obviously some times are busier than others so can be a little squishy. But there was plenty of room for May to cook in. The rooftop bar is reasonably priced and has a good little range of drinks. The rooftop pool was great. I only use it the once but there’s enough room for a few people. And some sun loungers if you so wis to sunbathe etc. The trails cafe also offers some decent and affordable options for breakfast/drinks/bites to eat. I went a ham & cheese toastie and a hot chocolate on my way out after checking out and both were yummy. The hostel is a short walk from Roma street station which is perfect if you get the air train from the airport. Not too much further you get into the cbd. It’s right near the river if you want to talk a walk along it. And there’s a coles really quite close by too which was handy for buying food for meals. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for an affordable clean and safe place to stay in Brisbane!     Me and my partner stayed in a private room with shared bathroom during our travels along the East Coast of Australia. The room was a good size with a very comfy bed, good air-con and the tv had Netflix. The shared bathrooms were also very clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel facilities were amazing, a huge kitchen (however no ovens), a rooftop pool and bar as well as a large seating area. They had a wellness room with a small gym area and had yoga classes on throughout the week which was good. The location of the hostel is good, about a 15 minute walk from Roma Station and about a 15/20 minute walk to the Brisbane sign/lagoon in the city. Overall this hostel was great and I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Brisbane!

    THE BEST CLEANIST YHA we've ever stayed at!!! SO LOVELY & CLEAN in rooms & public areas. We absolutely love YHA Brisbane - fantastic rooms & customer service. Such a wonderfully designed YHA - excellent location, fabulous refurbishments, comfy beds, nice pillows & linen. Great TV in room. Awesome little cafe. Our favourite place to stay when we're travelling through the city 100%. Thanks so much to Hamish on the front desk for being understanding with our special request. Thank you once again to all the wonderful staff especially the lovely freindly Kiwi Cleaning Supervisor Kelz - for making our stay so comfortable & relaxing. Will definitely return.
