    Bad parking situation

    rating10 May 2026

Was going to stay here with a friend after a night out because it was close to the club we were going to but didn't end up going out because they felt unwell. The place was reasonably clean but the room smelled a bit musty and the bathroom fan made a really loud whine when turned on. There was no screen on the second floor window which itself was reasonably close to the floor which would be pretty dangerous if someone had a young kid curious enough to open it. The mattress was soft which is good. The location isn't great though. Felt unsafe as when we arrived there was a druggie sitting on the driveway who refused to move, as well as people just generally lurking around. The parking situation is horrible as the place states they have free parking but don't mention that it's like ten spaces out the side that are never free and to get out of the cramped carpark you have to drive down a narrow and steep lane (the carpark concrete itself was so rough and uneven as well, not maintained). There is on street parking but nothing within a ten minute walk was free, and then when we parked and were on our way to the hotel we got harassed buy a few men which was just a generally uncomfortable and unsafe experience. Might have been safer during the day though.

It was ok..went better than I thought

It was surprising, it was good..it was hot weather 30-35 degrees spring weather but I was able to stay cool enough, the air-conditioning worked in my room wich had 2 single beds and a bathroom..every area of the motel that i seen was impeccably clean..not the best shower in the world, but it worked and got the job done..staff were helpful enough when I needed them, Donna on front desk was great when I needed assistance with something..it was nice sitting under the shaded balcony out the front on a hot day, slight breeze watching the Oktoberfest festivitys unfold a couple of doors down the rd from Brisbane Manor..not overly far from Brisbane airport if you need a taxi

    Manor Needs a Remodel

    rating27 Jul 2025

I stayed here in a single bedroom with my 1yr old daughter, the room itself was fine as long as you had the door open, or else it smelt like sewage. The shower door had come off when I tried to use it which made the bathroom floor rather slippery. Staff gave me more towels and bath mats to combat that. The bed was firm, and the blanket provided was itchy. The Staff were lovely and friendly, they upgraded my room for free when they realised I had a baby. (Originally had booked a room with a shared bathroom.) The other guests kept to themselves in the shared spaces, the kitchen was kept clean throughout my whole stay and for the middle of Brisbane it was quite. I think this Manor is great for solo's/backpackers who want a bit more privacy than a hostel offers. I think I would book again once my child is older, but found this isnot suitable for a baby/toddler.

not very good for female solo travellers

the room is absolutely freezing, and the aircon dies if you turn it up. Blankets are super thin, so you dont stay very warm. the vending machine says it's sold out when you can clearly see drinks in there. my door doesn't lock, so I'm feeling a bit unsafe about that, i couldn't sleep at all.

AVOID at all costs! They cancelled my reservation hours before I arrived

    rating07 Feb 2025

I would AVOID this hotel at all costs as they can cancel your reservation at the last minute leaving you in the lurch, as they did to me.I made a reservation for a room on 31-Dec-24 for two nights (Feb 1-3) at the Brisbane Manor Hotel. I received a confirmation from the Matthew Wallace, General Manager on the same day (31-Dec-24). I received a follow-up confirmation email on 31-Jan-25 from the General Manager with details on check-in. I replied on 31-Jan-25 to enquire about the process for late arrival as I would not be arriving until after 8pm. I received an email response from Natalie on 31-Jan-25 explaining the late check-in process. I replied thanking Natalie for the information. As I my plane landed in Sydney around 9:30pm on 01-Feb-25, I checked my email and found that I received an email from Sharon Hart that had been sent while I was in the air indicating that my reservation was cancelled "at my request." I never made such a request so I immediately called the phone number on the email which was an after hours number and they confirmed there was not a reservation for me and there was nothing that could be done on that evening, no escalation procedure, tough luck!I spent the next two hours phoning hotels trying to find a room as most were full or no longer taking bookings due to the late hour. At 1am, I finally found a room that was not in an ideal location and the price was double the cost of the price that was quoted from the Brisbane Manor Hotel as I could not find any other rooms.I tried emailing the Brisbane Manor Hotel a couple times since that night but not even the courtesy of a response with an explanation.
