    Was in Brisbane for a business trip which was arranged by employer. Employer had sent an email a few weeks before advising who would be staying, I was at a meeting until 6pm but my wife was with me and she tried to check in at 3pm. They wouldn’t let her check in even though she told them name of business etc and had to wait until the director Of our business called them to find out what was going on. Not really good enough when they had all the info 2 weeks prior, so obviously an issue with communication and booking system. Also was a drama with the parking about providing number plate, not on booking. Then once we were checked in we get a call about 6.30pm saying we need to provide a credit card, went to reception to be told sorry no they don’t now. All abit unprofessional! The room was nice, but let down by check in and very very slow service in the cafe where we had breakfastPre paid. Both days took 20 mins for someone to take order and another 20 for food. To slow when you are due to go to meetings and tell them that you have limited time.

    Average stay, drunk people at lifts and no delineating from where public go and guests stay. No towels for pool - asked 2 staff and no one came so we had to get a bath towel. Called desk spoke poor English and hard to communicate. Room is just average, large and open- no mini bar cool drinks. Parking to drop off and also uber from is CHAOTIC and had no help from hotel it is choose your own adventure. Arranged parking and they promised to text details, never did and so we had to go in and was raining and you get SOAKED at entry from under bridge. Staff all (and we dealt with several) young and messing about, talking and giggles and looks across rooms. Terrible stay.     We had a family stay on NYE and I stupidly left $1,400 under my pillow.I realise that I should have used the in room safe but I thought it would be ok.An hour after we checked out on New Years Day’s , I realised that I had forgotten the money.My son called the hotel & spoke to Reception who in turn spoke to Housekeeping & the cleaner that was allocated to clean our room.They denied seeing the envelope containing the money.They said they have secured the room & will be carrying out a search…… WTF for ?.It was under the pillow.Carl Taranto the regional Manager hasn’t even had the decency to respond to my email. I realise that if I had used the room safe, this wouldn’t have happened but the fact remains that the money was there & now it’s not. Mr Taranto, you have a thief on your payroll.     Girlfriend and I chose this hotel for our first time in Australia and first location after our flight, which we're glad we did. After a pretty poor flying experience from UK >> Australia, this was a welcome site. Hotel was in a fantastic location, spotlessly clean, room was decent, parking was easy and staff were really nice and helpful at all times day/night.     It's been a while since I spent some time in Bris so a night out with friends saw me at the CrystalBrooke Vincent.The pool. Divine at night with the lights of the city. It's like a story book. You can even swim down the end and weird out the diners by watching them eat at the rooftop bar.On that note - make a booking! We couldn't get a table at all as it was booked out, so get in early.The pool though by day is blah. Only because the Bris river is brown, the bridge is beige and tired. Save this spot for the night!We did a nature wall room, which was a VERY clever way of selling the room built next to a rock cliff. It lit up at night and was a really diff experience. I liked it.Room service ... I woke up post tequila and needed a coffee and brekky but the iPad wouldn't work. I gave up in the end.Staff - they were super helpful and let us check in early so we could fix up for a function. The carpark attendant was a highlight and couldn't have been nicer. Oh book your park the day before. It's a fair $50 and you can come and go.Highly recommend even just for the incredible artwork.If you're having a sexy weekend though, you might want to (or not want to!!) drape something over the VERY realistic print of Asher Keddie over the bed!
