    Beatiiful modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel to others. We were heading to the Powerhouse Theatre in New Farm that evening so the location really suited the occasion. The room was decorated to a very high standard with some outstanding features. The overall atmosphere was very serene and quiet. The amenities supplied were plentiful. Our stay was only for one night but it was long enough to gain an overall impression.

    Nice hotel but very gothy. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is ok. The biggest issue for me was they hold a deposit of 200 dollars and it’s only reversed into your account after 30days. I think this is unacceptable. Buses are right opposite the entrance so easy access to the city centre. Plenty of restaurants and bars near by

    Magnificent Hotel - well run, - quite 'funky' but an excellent place to stay at. Right in Fortitude Valley suburb of Brisbane, next to Public transport/taxis etc. Excellent views of Story Bridge & high risers. Meals are available right at the Hotel. Close to the Casino - Queen Street Mall etc.

    We checked in on a very hot day into a balcony room which was like a sauna! The aircon was not working & the staff were aware of that. After waiting several hours for a technician, we were relocated to another room. We’ve stayed at Hotel X many times & feel the standard has definitely dropped. There was no milk in the fridge as they had run out so milk was brought in a paper cup. Milk was not placed in the fridge for our entire stay. The bar area is understaffed - long wait to order a drink. Pool area totally unattended by staff on a Monday - even no water available.This hotel is one of the Intercontinental brand & Hotel X is not doing the brand any favours.I hope the management lifts their game.

    Lovely hotel, pity about the rooftop pool

    The hotel itself is lovely with an eye on sustainability, the breakfast is a la Carte and generous in size.This would be a great hotel to stay at if working or attending an event, unfortunately we were not doing that, we were there for a few days of r’n’r and it proved to be really disappointing.The pool was small, there was no shade, the pool tables were dirty and it felt far from luxurious.We could not relax by the pool as it was in direct sunlight and very hot, my 90 year old father had no hope of enjoying any time relaxing by the pool - the rooftop bar was not open and so our only choice was to ‘relax’ in our rooms.The assistant manager appeared very dismissive when we asked to cancel our next 2 nites and the duty manager, while appearing more conducive to dialogue, could only manage a refund of one day even though the facilities were far from what we expected and wanted.We did end up leaving early and while I think the hotel itself was lovely, this is not a hotel to relax and chill out by the pool - something we were looking for
