  The worst hotel I have ever experienced having travelled the world.Room was small and spartan with the fit out. Basically a bed and shower only. No chairs to sit. To operate the air conditioning, one had the stand on a high plastic stool to manually turn on and off. Then the noise of operating gives credit to the term "window rattler". Soundproofing to outside noises was non existent.We paid in advance for breakfast, but was not served until after 7am. We had an early flight so we missed out on a meal we paid for. We booked through the accor site at $180 , but saw a sign for "today's rate $166." No evening meals and no eateries within walking distance. Reception was poorly attended and had to shout out to get attention by an unenthusiastic receptionist. Outside our room window was a mobile food truck with a running generator and it only served tacos and buritos.Overall could not recommend this hotel.

  In being an Accor member and knowing that Ibis is a subsidiary company, I was confident in my decision making. Therefore, my wife and I blindly booked an overnight room after returning late night from a long overseas holiday, it was only to reset for future road travel the following day and the location was ideal according to Google Maps for where we were heading. Having stayed at many hotels around the world, I have seen all shapes and sizes, good and bad, I am without bias and understand you get what you pay for, according to what country you are in.I paid $171 for the room which in Australia should get you something, somewhat respectable and decent for just 1 night.Unfortunately, this hotel will now remain an embedded memory that will remain with me forever, for all the wrong reasons, words cannot explain how terrible and tired this hotel is. I have previously worked in resort and accommodation management and I understand the industry and business model. With that, I lay no blame on any staff there, I am sure they are doing their best with what they have to deal with.I can only imagine that this hotel was previously a medical ward or retirement home by design, the bathroom design and overall condition of the small room reminded me of aged care rooms I have seen. The overall condition is very tired and old, I am sure the cleaners might try their hardest but we didn’t even want to use the toilet or shower for the simple fear that it felt very uncomfortable, in having a sticky floor to walk around on in both rooms, we can’t imagine what could have caused that?None of the TV channels on the tiny TV worked, all pixelated and unwatchable. Honestly speaking, we couldn’t have gotten out of there more quickly with not liking any aspect of our stay. The tap for the shower control literally fell off when I was showering (with thongs on).I can’t fault the location as it is within 10 or 15 mins from the airport, that’s why we chose it.I have read previous reviews and can see compliments about the staff, I am sure they possibly are quite good at their jobs, we checked out early without any interaction and so can’t make any comment.At what point do IBIS or Accor say, we need to bulldoze this place and build something that is acceptable to not only Australians but I imagine many tourists from overseas that crash there for the night after long flights like our own, I am honestly embarrassed as an Australian to see that this might be the first impression of Australia for some, Qld tourism should maybe step in, particularly with the Olympics coming up.

  Very expensive for very basic hotel.I stay at Accor hotels around the world and this is the worst. Small room and very dated.

  Avoid - dirty, cramped and in need of a major facelift

  We arrived just after midnight after flying in from the UK. Understandably, there were no staff on the desk with whom to raise the issues we experienced which were as follows:- the room was dirty, someone had used the loo and it had not been flushed. The sliding bathroom door was not fixed at the bottom and the broken bracket on the floor was dangerous. None of the sockets in the room worked, and the shower gel was empty. Bathroom floor needed a good steam clean. Extraction fan was minging. Room was very small with bed pushed up againster the wall. We left ASAP in the morning. Room 119 17 Dec 25.

  NO HOT WATER - disappointing.

  Close location to the airport but very small room. We had no hot water at all & had to endure a cold shower. The share kitchen facilities were quite dirty & the microwave was disgusting.
