    The good and the bad…

    rating13 Feb 2026

Positives: The Belgian gentleman who checked us in was so welcoming. Couldn’t fault him. The breakfast was good. Good variety and being able to order a latte was great. Negatives: The noise from the building sits next to our room was awful. The 7 am Saturday start was too much noise. Couldn’t use the balcony at all. Went down to reception at 6.50 Saturday morning. The man on reception was rude and uninterested. I also saw him being rude to another guest. No coffee available. Kristian Lindhe, General Manager at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, responded to this review 44galyem thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We are pleased to hear that you received a warm welcome from our check-in staff and enjoyed our breakfast offerings. However, I sincerely apologise for the disturbance caused by the noise from the adjacent building. We understand how important a peaceful environment is for our guests. Additionally, I regret to learn about your unsatisfactory experience with our reception staff. This behavior does not align with the standards we strive to uphold. Your comments regarding the availability of coffee will be taken into consideration as well.Thank you for your insights, and we hope to improve your experience should you choose to visit us again.

    It works for few days

    rating06 Jan 2026

The location is great, we could walk to the center easily. However, it's mainly a business hotel. The rooms are getting old and poor decorated, although the bed was ok. We had a flood in the bathroom every time we shower. Plus, they put us exactly at the same floor and side to the next constructions, which means, loud noise early morning. Service is poor. Front desk couldn't even reply to if tap water was ok to drink. Breakfast service not good as well. They kept empty baskets and bottles for long time, no cups, coffee machine not working together with poor assistance and mood in general. Options were few, but ok in general, as well as cleanliness. It works for a few days, but would chose other place if I knew this first. Kristian Lindhe, General Manager at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated our convenient location, allowing easy access to the city center. However, we regret to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations in several areas. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the room decor and the bathroom flooding. We are continuously assessing our facilities to ensure they meet the needs of our guests. Additionally, I apologise for the noise disruption caused by nearby construction and the service issues you encountered at breakfast. Your comments regarding the breakfast options and overall service quality will certainly be shared with the relevant teams for their review and consideration. We value your insights as they are crucial in helping us enhance our guest experience. Thank you once again for your feedback, and we do hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.

Food quality and restuarant service poor

    rating24 Nov 2025

Meals at the restuarant were sub standard. I orded the steak for $48. Expected at least a small side dish of vegetables, but got nothing. I asked if there were vegetables, told that would cost me an extra $8. Also, there were several flys buzzing around while I was trying to eat! The staff also appeared to be uninterested in looking after guests. The streak was okay, but certainly not $48 worth. In fact I would only pay $35 for it. Needless to say I will never eat in the restuarant again and certainly would not recommend it to guests staying there, unless you feel comfortable in not receiving value for money. Kristian Lindhe, General Manager at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, responded to this review Dear George M,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent experience at our restaurant. We're disappointed to learn that the quality of the food and the service did not meet your expectations. It is our goal to provide both exceptional dining and attentive service, and I appreciate your comments as they highlight areas where we can improve.I understand your disappointment regarding the lack of side dishes included with your meal and the additional charge for vegetables. Our pricing reflects the quality we strive to maintain, and I apologise that you felt it did not align with your expectations. Additionally, I appreciate your concerns regarding cleanliness and staff engagement, which we take seriously. Your observations will be shared with the team to ensure we reinforce our commitment to guest satisfaction.Thank you once again for your insights. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.Regards,Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill

    Could be so much better

    rating28 Aug 2025

This was the premier hotel in town many years ago. The bones are there but it has aged poorly. I was disappointed on reaching my room. Drab corridors, average decor but surprisingly still roomy with a balcony. Quiet and the bed was comfy. Staff are really nice though the restaurant staff focus on prepping for the next seating rather than serving.Food is average only. The Carpark is possibly the worst in existence. At best it is an obstacle course of bright yellow pillars placed as awkwardly and impossibly close as can be.He positionisexcellent with a free city circle bus-stop outside and a somewhat dubious park opposite.I actually didn’t mind the stay and it is good value but I never want to see that carpark again Kristian Lindhe, General Manager at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, responded to this review ozpd70, thank you for taking the time to review your stay. Accor hotels commenced management of the property in March 2024 and have been primarily focused on improving the service and cleanliness of the hotel. We are delighted to advise we are currently refurbishing our guest rooms which we are confident our guests will love. We hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, so you can experience them for yourself.

Great stay in Junior Balcony View Suite

    rating07 Aug 2025

I stayed here for five nights during my recent visit to Brisbane. The suite was massive very nicely laid out. There were three balconies although two were small, the other was huge with a great view. Room was clean and kept clean on a daily basis. My only gripe would it needs soundproofing windows!
