Dated Hotel that is in fact a motel with a manager that is not customer focussed.

    rating09 Sept 2025

When I first call the property to book, the lady that answered seemed very vague and took about 15min on hold to give me a price. At no stage did she explain the reason for the delay and the price given was about $90 dearer than Wotif. So I booked via wotif. When I arrived about 7pm on check in day , the lady behind the desk was not welcoming and could not see her words and was vague and not fully lucide. She the ask for my credit card even though I paid in full in advance or $200 cash, due to the ladies behaviour I refused as something seemed suss. The lady called the manager and then the lady said room service comes daily and you can come to the office for a contiential breakfast that will cost $17.90. The next day in the afternoon I called reception and asked if i could not get a cleaner for the next day and was told yes. I got sick that night and could not breath and the ambulance came at 12 am and took me to hospitial, I returned the next day back to the hotel and my room was clean. I called again and ask for the cleaning to be skipped the next day and was again told yes because i was unwell. I was woken up the next day by house keeping and I told them that I did not need a clean and they told me to call recpetion and I did and asked the the cleaning to cease as I was unwell and I was told yes. Ten mins later a letter was put under my door , telling me I was in breach of the entery conditions of having a cleaner ever day,When I spoke to the manger she wasn't interested and was very dismissive of my interaction when booking in.

Decent but make specific requests for your needs.

Spacious room but didn't feel safe as a solo traveller. Room was designated as an accessible type but with stairs, two entry doors and layout of the room, it wouldn't have been easy to navigate. Other rooms may have been more accessible so request as per your needs

Stayed here for one night. Reception was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Bed was fine. Plenty of free car parking. Was a fraction dear for what it was, but I did book last minute. Overall would stay here again if i needed to stay in the area.

    Average, needs a makeover

First impressions - gardens are overgrown and unkempt. Stairs and area into reception is old and tired. We stayed at the end of the property (I had to ask for directions where we were). The rooms were very dated and had a musty smell. Air-conditioner in one room indicated the filter needed cleaning and the aircon didn’t run very well/struggled to be cold. Towel rails were falling out of the wall. No information provided on WiFi or where the pool was. The fold out sofa bed was “unsleepable” as the springs could be felt and it sagged into the middle. Positives, a washing machine (bring your own washing powder) and dryer and across the road from a shopping centre. Photos online can be deceiving.

Stayed there for 2 weeks in room 264 : when complained about air conditioner not working, a homeless looking guy who said his name was Thomas, knocked just once and barged into my room and gave me an ultimatum to move to another room right away, he said he was the General Manager but, he was dressed in a shabby shorts and a dirty tshirt and when said I was unable to wind up my things and move immediately to another room, he threatened to throw me out of the hotel, said if I don't like it come to the reception and I can check you out right now, made some racist comments about the way I speak, almost came up close as if he was going to get violent and hit me, eventually I told him, he can leave the room and no need to do any thing about the air conditioner not working, but he continued ranting some bad things about me being a worst guest, I really think he was under some kind of influence or hung over from last night. Before leaving the room he again got into my face and threatened me that I can complain to who ever I want about him, it won't matter as he is the GM and the final word in that establishment.Slammed both the doors as hard as he could and went away.Kindly provide me with contact numbers and email addresses of higher authorities in your hotel so that I could get in touch with them and let them know how bad this was.I had a future booking for 7th to 10th Jan which I have canceled for the above reason. This was my first visit to Australia and I am going back with a very unpleasant opinion about your hotel and your country.Kasif Amin Botswana
