Room Smelt of Wet Mouldy Carpet

    rating12 Sept 2026

Site advertises a beutiful pool overlooking the river, yet it is mouldy with no water. The spa isn’t operational with a cover on it and area is blocked off. Looks like it hasn’t been functioning for a very long time. Room smelt like wet mouldy carpet. Antiquated system having to carry big bulky plastic key tag, a physical key and a swab. Surely a hotel in the chain should have more updated features. As a Titanium member I will not be coming back to this hotel although I did appreciate the upgrade to a river view room. That was the only positive of the trip. Very disappointed. Hotel Manager, General Manager at Oaks Brisbane Casino Tower Suites, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. At the outset, please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused due to the closure of the common area facilities. The common area facilities including the lap pool, spa and sauna have been closed since March '26. Our website and all other online travel agent websites have the notification of the common area facilities closure. Steam cleaning of the carpet in the apartment has also been carried out. I do hope that you will give us another opportunity and stay with us again.
