Location

This hotel is located on the site of the famous Festival Hall in the heart of Brisbane's central business district. Guests will find a range of cafés on the hotel’s doorstep, whilst the Queen Street Mall, the entertainment and business districts, and parklands, are all only a short stroll away.

Facility

The apartment hotel welcomes guests in a 41-storey building with 5 lifts and 401 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. To ensure guests a comfortable and relaxing stay, the hotel provides various services and facilities, including a baggage storage service, a safe, a 24-hour security service, room service, a laundry service and a smoke alarm. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Guests can also use the bicycle storage facilities.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests have a view of the city from the balcony or terrace, which are standard features of some rooms.     The room was sufficient for our needs. However, our experience was marred by a series of issues. The staff were unable to provide clear directions, book activities, or answer basic questions, which resulted in frustrating service. Cleaning standards fell well short of expectations, with inconsistencies in the supplies provided. An unpleasant odor lingered throughout the entire building. Our stay was also negatively impacted by excessive noise from other guests who were yelling, fighting, and slamming doors. Given these challenges, I cannot recommend this hotel.

    Awesome large room, nice and clean, great view, fabulous location .Fantastic staff. Parking was a little expensive but safe and secure.

    The location was perfect for our needs. Our aircon never worked, 2 staff tried with no luck, was told tech would come next day but nothing. All our rooms had aircon issues, very disappointed- we got offered a blanket for the bed but that doesn’t help the rest of the room being cold.Be warned there is construction next door and it goes all day and night, overall disappointing stay

    I stayed at Festival Suites for seven nights on a work trip because my preferred Oaks property was unavailable. My room was on the 28th floor. One of the high-speed lifts was under maintenance, so there was typically a several-minute wait for a lift. The room was spacious and adequately clean, the kitchen was fine. Unfortunately, the bedding was unacceptable. While sheets and pillowcases were mostly clean, the doona and pillows were yellowed and stained and smelled of cigarette smoke. There was no housekeeping, and there were only enough cleaning supplies provided for one night. I had to buy my own dishwashing liquid and cleaner. Even though there was ample space, the room had no desk, shelves or drawers (except the nightstand) to put clothing in, so anything I couldn't hang up stayed in my suitcase. There is a big construction site nearby that was very busy on the night shift - 24/7 heavy machinery, which was loud even with the window closed. Usually, a hotel would explain the housekeeping policy and warn guests of maintenance problems or construction noise when booking, but there was no mention of this. Disappointing when the Oaks across the road (Charlotte Towers) is mostly fine.
