    Quiet, convenient and comfortable

    An inexpensive comfortable place to stay in Brisbane. Parkview had everything we needed for our stay while we went for an event at Suncorp Stadium. Wish we had brought our bathers! The complex is old and showing its age a little, but that also means spacious rooms and balconies. Our apartment was very clean with good linen. There was a good sized fridge with thoughtfully provided ice cubes in the freezer, dishwasher, ceramic cooktop, washing machine as well as the usual jug, toaster etc. Just be aware the shower is over the bath. Parkview was responsive to my questions, so I would suggest asking about any requirements. Everything was there if a long stay was needed.Very quiet (and we are obsessive about quiet) despite the walk-everywhere location. Close to the Convention Centre, railway station and many buses a block away. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, with Coles, Woolworths and Harris Farms for daily shopping. Our interactions with the staff found them quite helpful and friendly.Two older ladies happy with our decision the stay.

    The property is nicely located next to west end village and a walking distance to the CBD (Queen Street Mall) and South Bank Parklands. It made exploring and enjoying Brisbane very easy. Even driving out to Sunshine Coast was easy from here. The check in was very smooth and the property had good facilities and clean rooms.

    Whilst its a good location walk to most places. and cleaners do their best however ,The rooms are old and tired, Patio was filthy, I clean some tiles with a broom. Cuboard door hanging off and bathroom in desperate need of a refurb. Hardly any plates/cups etc.

    The decor in the bathroom is dated, needs a refresh given the cost per night, parking is included which is a positive, we were put in a room close to the driveway and bins so traffic noise is high, the bins get emptied at 4am every morning so if you are a light sleeper you will be woken. Both taps on the basin have water hammer, so you can hear the pipes when you turn on the tap.

    Whilst the room was tidy, and bed comfy, I found the apartment to be lacking in simple amenities like hair conditioner, glasses to drink from, coffee facilities. The room was super noisy between doors shutting and ongoing traffic. I was also displeased that the staff entered the room and emptied a bin containing my dirty washing - clearly not rubbish. I was then sent a text to fetch it from the dumpster - not impressed!
