  Great room, so spacious, lovely furnishings, from a bygone era. The negatives did kind of take over. The WiFi was non existent - we were told they are looking at upgrading, some rooms are great, others bad. Ours was terrible. There were multiple ones to connect to with instructions to connect to the one with strongest signal to no avail.Free toiletries....one would have thought body wash would be included, but no, just as well we had our own shampoo to use. After buying body wash we received some on day 2 after having purchased some.Tea and coffee....use two coffee, 2 replaced, use the milk, none replaced.This morning we advised a wall light in bathroom was out and either bathroom plug hole or pipe was leaking. Tonight nothing has changed.Especially asked for milk .. for the coffee, but none.With my genius discount this place was great value, but disappointing.Not that we wanted it, but most mini-bar items weren't available.... your pick .. crisps or water.

  I recently had a wonderful stay at the Royal Albert Hotel and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm welcome and the beautiful heritage atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a unique part of Brisbane’s history.The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of the CBD, within walking distance to Queen Street Mall, restaurants, transport, and everything you need in the city. Despite being so central, the hotel still feels surprisingly peaceful and comfortable.My room was very spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed, including a kitchenette, comfortable bed, and plenty of space to relax or work. The high ceilings and classic design give it a charming old-world feel that makes it stand out from modern chain hotels.Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay, always ready to assist with any request.Overall, I had a very comfortable and enjoyable experience and would happily stay again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Brisbane who wants space, convenience, and character all in one place. 我最近在 Royal Albert Hotel 的入住体验非常棒，对这次住宿感到非常满意。刚一走进酒店，就能感受到温暖热情的接待，以及充满历史韵味的建筑氛围，让人仿佛进入了布里斯班独特的历史一部分。酒店的位置非常完美——位于市中心CBD核心区域，步行即可到达 Queen Street Mall、各类餐厅、交通站点以及城市中的各种设施。虽然地处繁华中心，但整体环境却出乎意料地安静舒适。

  Brilliant hotel in centre of Brisbane

  Centrally located within yards of the main shopping area the Royal Albert Albert hotel looks unimpressive from the outside. You walk down a hallway towards reception and then realise how special the place is. Friendly reception staff welcomed us and helpfully printed some travel confirmations too. Thanks! Our room on the second floor was absolutely enormous! It contained a comfortable 5 foot double bed, a sofa, a coffee table, a desk for working, a circular table with two chairs, a wardrobe, a sink, a hub and microwave together with a kettle and fridge. There was also a flat screen TV and plenty of power sockets. The room had good air conditioning and was the largest that we have ever stayed in Australia! However, the Wi-Fi signal was awful. It was unreliable, variable and glacial in speed. In the end I had to take my laptop computer down to the reception area to get a stronger signal than I could on the second floor. It is the only criticism I could make of this magnificent hotel. Car parking was OK. You park in the nearby underground car park in spaces designated for the hotel – and it costs £15/day. Did I mention that the bathroom not only has a shower wash basin toilet but also a bath?! However, the tiling was rather old and the plumbing almost uncontrollable! Did I also mention that they are building a new underground station right outside and the whole area is a mess of closed roads and heavy construction. No noise at night - but not pleasant during the day. Work should be complete by July 2026...

  This is a lovely old place and unlike many from its era it has been well kept and still has its charm. 12' ceiling and lots of space in the room. Friendly staff, and the location is very central..

  Don’t go for breakfast!

  We visited for breakfast. We used the QR code on the table to order. Our coffee came pretty quickly unlike the food. We waited 40 minutes to be given food and so had well and truly finished our coffee. Food was breakfast burger for my husband and toast with honey for me. Toast arrived eventually. No honey. Asked for honey then had to ask for a knife to spread. Toast was cold and hard. Breakfast burger was described as average. We would never go back. They just keep filling up the tables but can’t manage the orders.
