    It will be great when the renovations are completed.

    On arrival we experienced very friendly service in the newly renovated foyer. We were disappointed however when we reached our tired room. (Eg. Peeling paint and old stretched carpet) The room was spacious and we had a lovely view. The hotel is in a fabulous location. We walked to the Story Bridge hotel where we had a function and also explored Kangaroo Point cliffs. We dined at the newly opened restaurant Kin. The food was delicious and the decor is beautiful. It was good to see the direction that the renovations are headed - it would be great to return one day when they are complete.

    Great location with friendly staff. The rooftop bar is a nice feature, though it would be even better if it were open more frequently.

    Would be good to have known the construction works were being undertaken ... at the time of making the booking. Not the day before I arrived. Knowing this, I probably would have stayed somewhere else. Had to wait about 10+ minutes in teh morning to exit the hotel, as a truck was unloading construction material this blocking the entry-exit to the hotel. Frustrating when you're trying to get to work. Aaron Roberts, General Manager at Point Hotel, responded to this review Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I sincerely apologise for the frustration and inconvenience caused during your stay, particularly regarding the construction activity and the delay exiting the hotel. I completely understand how disappointing this would have been, especially when trying to get to work on time.We do currently have a range of external communications in place advising guests of the refresh works, however I am sorry to hear that in your case the timing of this information may not have allowed you to make a fully informed decision.     We lived in K Pt 1998 - 2012; saw POINT built, used it as "2nd bedroom" to our apartment (Macleay) for visitors; current renos look good & upgrade facilities. Rm 815 is our favourite + Lambert Suite. Staff friendly, helpful, efficient... (Marianne @ KIN a "rock-star"!). Great locality & value for any couple's short visit now. We'll be back when update finished.RmServ- spag bol & hot sandwich were poor; Hot buffet breakfast was cold at 0705....other choices were good, as was barrista coffee.
