    Historic heritage hotel in ideal location

    This is a great character hotel. It is an old historic building so it has great character and is interesting. It has modern features such as lifts- electronic door keys etc.the staff are great both the desk and concierge and the cafe.So the floors creak a bit and if you want slick modern chain hotel its not for you but if you want a bit of old world character with large rooms ( and high) then its great.     Visiting QPAC the Treasury was very convenient, just across the bridge. We love Heritage buildings and the high ceilings wide corridors and standard of f ‘n ensuite didn’t disappoint. Staff were friendly .     Our first time in Australia and what a grand and glorious way to start. This is a magnificent building in the absolute center of everything Brisbane. We were totally taken back by the room size (which had been modernized). The ceilings have to be 15' and the windows are HUGE. Although the hotel is great the location is the key point. The Cat Ferry is basically a three minute walk, the Casino and Skywalk (4 min), Queen Street Mall (5 min). Location is incredible and the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. This was a true pleasure.     This is the Crown Jewel of the Treasury!

    Never having been to Brisbane before, location was a key factor in selecting this hotel. We were not disappointed! Within blocks is a City Cat Terminal, the river boat that goes throughout the City, the shopping mall, McArthur's Chambers, the Holocaust Museum and the Star Casino with observation terrace for panoramic city views. The hotel is a magnificently restored and modernized historic building. No detail was overlooked in restoring this exquisite structure...the sash windows, the crown molding, the coved ceilings, with modern convenience integrated. The bathroom included a huge tub and a stall shower and stone surfaces. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We loved every minute of our stay here and highly recommend to other.
