Late night angels

Look, the accommodation is simple but very well maintained. The praise I have is for the lovely staff. My flight was cancelled and Hotel Kununurra took me in late at night and made sure I was quickly settled in, and even made sure there was transport to the airport early next morning to catch the replacement flight. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

I arrived in Kununurra on a flight from Darwin in the evening and my bag did not arrive.Hotel Kununurra were to collect me at the airport, a service they provide free if you contact them in advance.I had trouble sorting out with the staff at the airport the details of my lost bag and the driver who was waiting for me came and looked for me because I had not appeared. He assisted me in dealing with the airport staff sorting out the lost bag and said he would drive me to the airport the following day to collect the bag. This he did but no bag and again the Hotel Kununurra staff took me back to the airport for the second time until the bag appeared.All the office staff were helpful and what could have been a very stressful situation was made easy by their kindness. The hotel also has an excellent dining room and bar. I had friends staying elsewhere and there was no dining where they stayed so they were having to come to Hotel Kununurra to eat the evening meal. I recommend this as the place to stay because of the excellent service and also because it is very central in Kununurra to most facilities.

Bottle shop attendant is very rude

Tall fellow in the bottle shop is extremely arrogant, rude, not helpful and shouldered my wife out of the way! My wife tried to put a box down which was out of the way and he moved moved it just because it was near, wasn’t causing an issue. We had to leave before because it was very uncomfortable

Very basic but ok for one night.

We stayed for one night. Room is good size with 1 queen and 1 single bed. Beds comfortable. Bath room spacious but dated and slippery. We slept ok. Mall and bottle shop nearby. Noise from the bar until 22.00 could be heard but worse is the noise from the corridors and slamming doors. Early departing people could also be heard. Breakfast just cereal and toast and if you want eggs or smash avo you pay.The avo was good btw! Overall good but time for a massive make over. It is 2025 not 1970……

A nightmare! I stayed here one night only. It’s like living in the Bronx. Locals screaming during the night next to my room. I felt very unsafe. The morning breakfast is absolutely obscene. No one at the bar to make a coffee I would not recommend going there not even for one night
