Location

The property is located on a main street, within easy walking distance of a surfing beach, shops and the Cape Byron lighthouse. It is situated 1 hour's drive from the Gold Coast, 2 hours from Brisbane and 10 hours from Sydney.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 38 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Other services include room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. Complimentary newspapers are available.

Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A desk is provided. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee station and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A telephone, a TV, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and include a hairdryer. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pleasantly heated water of the indoor and outdoor pools guarantees comfortable swimming. Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including tennis, a spa and a sauna.

    This hotel is decorated so lovely and has great style. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay- the free hire of badminton was a great feature. Only 8 minute walk from Byron centre, so easy to get around. I would definitely stay here again, great distance from centre as it’s nice and quiet at night.

    We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Lord Byron. It is well located close to some excellent restaurants (the hotel does not have room service) and an easy walk to the shops and beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, with Vayda and Famke deserving mention for their excellent service. The list they provided of restaurants and other recommendations was very good. Although there is no lift to the rooms, this was no problem for us despite Vayda and Famke being only too willing to carry the bags. The room was comfortable and met all our needs. It was also good value.

    A lovely, chilled place in a good location, to stay for two days on our travels.The reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly & even carried my case up the two flights of stairs to our room as there are no lifts.The room itself was very pretty, clean & comfortable with everything you need, & with a nice ensuite – although we couldn’t work out why the sink tap was so low to the sink, or why the toilet was so high off the ground! The balcony was big enough for us both to sit & have a glass of wine comfortably - overlooking the pool was nice & we had a great view of the bats flying across the sky every evening.Relatively easy walking distance to shops, bars, the beach etc & there are free bikes, surfboards & a tennis court for you to use should you choose to. Nice communal areas although we didn’t use them.Lovely pool area & hot tub, with a large undercover communal area for barbequing & sitting around in. Nice to have a heated pool that's open late. Parking in the garage under the rooms was helpful in keeping the car cool in the heat.In all, a very pleasant stay in Byron Bay.

    Very helpful staff in a lovely area of Byron Bay.My travel agent ( travel bag) messed up booking as only booked a queen room.Staff did everything put in a rollway ( at cost).No lifts so be wary if have limited mobility.No restaurant or bar but the caravan Jimmys is ok for breakfast.Free bikes were good.

    Lovely hotel - we stayed in one of the deluxe queen rooms and was beautifully decorated and with a very spacious bathroom. Little food treats and water/ coffee in the room complimentary too, they also gave us free margarita vouchers for tree house and 10% off a local coffee place which was a nice touch. We utilised the free surf board hire which was great and the hotel is in very easy walking distance to the beach! We also used the pool in the morning on our last day which was lovely too! Can’t fault the hotel and would stay again:)
