This hotel is ideally located on the Cairns Esplanade boardwalk overlooking Trinity Bay. It is just a short stroll to the waterfront swimming lagoon, Reef Fleet terminal, Pier Shopping Centre, as well as the entertainment and the central business district in Cairns.

Facility

The hotel has 237 rooms, including suites, 48 single rooms and 187 double rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift.     The hotel is perfectly located close to all the restaurants and main attractions. We booked few activities through the hotel concierge.     Ok but not brilliant.

    I expected a little better from a Double tree. When we checked in and entered our room 324 it absolutely stunk of damp. It was so bad I immediately returned to reception to get the room changed. They were very good and arranged for a room changed they also offered me a bottle of wine as an apology which was nice. However, whilst the replacement room 422, was much better there was still a slight damp smell. Reading other reviews it seems this is a common problem. There is obviously an inherent problem that the hotel management need to sort out. Bed was comfortable and quality fittings in the small bathroom. Breakfast was good and food hot.     Stayed for 1 night, very nice hotel, plenty of parking in underground garage, staff friendly, room pretty spacious, comfortable and clean.
