Not worth the price paid.

Hair in the shower.Ceiling fan had a big hole in the roof.Faulty kettle had to stand there and wait for it to boil Because the lid would not close and turn it off Manually.Netflix would not work.Room never serviced in six days of stay.Bed was hard as rocks.Only two out of eight usb ports working.One positive was the staff were very friendly.A safe without a key.

The only thing the Hides Hotel has going for it is its location. I stayed here in July and it has been nothing but trouble since. We arrived a few days late due to airline issues and the hotel has been nothing but a pain when trying to get a refund for the days that we could cancel with more than 24hrs notice. Additionally, we had arranged to arrive early to our reservation (and pay for the night that we were getting in at 4am) and there was no communication from the hotel about early checkin and as a result we sat in the lobby for hours waiting to get access to our room. They then charged us for this room even though we could not access it when we arrived. The hotel/room also left MUCH to be desired. The rooms were old and had many broken items including towel bars, kettle and bathroom vanity. These things would have been fine in insolation for the price point of the hotel but the service has been abysmal for months now. Their communication is terrible, save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere.

A very poor experience. The bathroom was disgusting. Mouldy shower curtain. Terrible service they make up the rooms every 4 days! I complained they sent housekeeping to clean nothing changed except the shower curtain. Then my remote mysteriously disappeared and I couldn’t watch the tv. Another remote could not be provided. Looking for the remote I found someone’s dirty socks under the bed. $100 to replace a lost key that could be cut for $10. The list goes on. Great location but everything else was awful! Never again! I’ve stayed in cleaner hotels in 3rd world countries.

Great for location, close to all the centre of city, eateries, wharf. But just in a quite location, just perfect for us. Safe undercover parking for vehicle ( but do need to confirm when booking as numbers are limited). Rooms on the older stage, but clean and all amenities required.
