We stayed in Unit 100 on the ground floor at the back of the property overlooking the pool. It was a well appointed spacious one bedroom, easy access from the laneway (no stairs). There is a set of stairs down to the free carpark under the building that is very close to the apartment, or you are able to walk up the carpark driveway to avoid stairs. The apartment is very quiet, there is air conditioner noise on the deck and in the pool area but to be expected when you’re located in the centre of town. The reception is in the laneway next to the jewellers, a black phone is on the wall if reception is unattended for checking in. There are many lovely restaurants close by, walking distance to all the shops, markets, 4 Mile Beach and Flagstaff Hill walkway. We really enjoyed our stay.

THE ROOM WAS QUITE SMALL , AND CLEAN BUT VERY DATED AND IN NEED OF AN UPGRADE. NOT A TRUE HOTEL AS NO DAILY CLEANING ETC. NO OPENING WINDOWS AND NO RECEPTION OR LOUNGE . BATHROOM IN SERIOUS NEED OF A REFURB. ONLY REDEEMING FEATURE IS LOCATION. ALSO NO ELEVATOR AND STAIRS A BORE.

Great location with standard features but our room was noisy (especially sitting on the veranda) and a bit dusty. Choose this for a family-friendly room right on Macrossan Street.

Pros:Very Central locationClose to restaurants, supermarket etcComfortable bedsParking available which is a huge plus because of the location.Full kitchen and laundry in some roomsClose to departure for reef cruisesCons:No person to check in onsiteRooms a little dated and tiredDepending on your room location it could be quite noisy at night due to the close proximity of the pubs and clubs.Synopsis: Good hotel in ideal location in Port DouglasWould I stay here again?Yes absoultely, but get the room with the kitchen, you will save a fortune on eating out

A very central location, close to Macrossan St restaurants, pubs, the Tin Shed etc.Room (apartment) was very spacious, clean, comfortable bed, plenty of faciities with good Wifi internet.A couple of small 'downsides' - no lift to second floor, no reception at desk and the (subdued) music entertainment noise from the pub on the close by corner (this finished around 10.00 PM) .All in all a very comfortable apartment andd we would definitely return next to Port Douglas.
