Location

Nestled in lush landscaped gardens, the resort is at the foot of Whitfield Mountain Range. This property is 6 km from the city centre, a 5-minute walk to the nearest bus stop and 8 km from Cairns Airport.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 150 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     We only stayed here one night but the staff was so friendly and helpful - it made the place stand out! Our luggage was delayed, so we had to pick it up from the airport at 11pm. We were leaving early the next morning and needed to do laundry before departing. The laundry room at this hotel is generally closed after 9pm, but when we explained our situation, they made an exception for us. A security guard let us in and out of the room multiple times until we had finished our laundry around 1:30am. In addition, the room was clean and spacious, parking was very easy, and the location was a convenient to the airport.

    This hotel / resort is a great place to unwind with a nearby shopping centre and pub & bistro across the road (oh and red rooster if you like). Also across the road is a drive thru (or walk thru) coffee store which offer 2 x bacon & egg muffins for total cost of $10!! Check in is 2pm however you can arrive earlier and enjoy the facilities until your room is ready. Sonsri is a great hotel manager and very accommodating. Also the Paddle Pop ice creams available at reception at $2 each are a great treat... Highly recommended

    It has great pools, rooms are ok, clean but lots of light allowed in at night. Very noisy on the main road side. Also lots of loud guest that do not care about the noise they make. Honestly its ok but hard to sleep and rest if your overnighting on a trip.

    There were smokers everywhere so the whole place smelled like cigarettes. The man in the room next to ours smoked on his balcony nonstop so we couldn't use ours. There were no facecloths to wash with. We needed towels to go to the Great Barrier Reef. A deposit on the 2 towels would have been understandable and was expected. They wanted to sell them to us. It used to be a high class resort. Now its full of long term workers. Hotel Management, Sales at Palm Royale Cairns, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.
