Location

This hotel is located amidst the tropical green forest, and is only a few minutes from the Port Douglas Township. The local four-mile-long beach is also within 5 minutes' walk of the hotel. Daintree rainforest can be reached in 45 minutes by car, whilst Cairns is an hour away. Cairns International Airport is approximately 65 km from the accommodation.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 128 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Our villa was basic but comfortable. Would recommend hiring a car from Cairns to assist going touring or into town. Too far to walk to local shops for supplies. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat

    What a great place to stay!We have been visiting Port Douglas for many years. We try and stay at different places each time for a bit of variety. We weren’t sure about this one due to some poor reviews in the past, but had been told the resort was under new management so we took a punt. We couldn’t have been happier. The sparkling clean pool was the absolute highlight and the best we’ve seen in town. Our villa was also lovely and like a home away from home. Very clean and well fitted out with a lovely tropical garden. The resort is a close walk to the beach but just far enough from town to be quiet and peaceful. Close walking distance to other resorts too for drinks or meals.

    I had read reviews from last year, which did have me slightly concerned. However, friends in Port Douglas told us they had recently been there for a swim, and it is under new management. We weren’t disappointed, when we checked in Kelly in reception was very helpful. Our villa was clean and well stocked, the pool is amazing and surrounding gardens well maintained. Slightly out of town, easy walk to the beach and shuttle buses run all day and until midnight.

    We booked directly with the resort via Flight Centre as part of a Holiday Package. We were paying close to $400 a night and when we arrived after a long day of travel, we were extremely disappointed with the state of the villa.Every surface seemed to be dirty, mouldy or broken (or old and run down).We called and told Flight Centre to move us hotels immediately, and we were informed that the manager agreed to give us a refund without hesitation, which made us think this had happened before.We didn't start to enjoy our holiday until we left this awful place. It actually ruined the start of our long planned family holiday. We felt that it was unhygienic for our son to stay here and for $400 a night, we expected so much more.
