    The location of hotel is ok.It is very much understaffed compared to the number of rooms. Normally nobody is at the reception need to call by ringing a bell. Only one girl to handle breakfast room the same girl is also at reception. Checked in on Monday evening was told that restaurant and bar does not operate on Mondays. Requested for glasses was told that it is not the policy of hotel to give glasses with great persuasion gave 2 glasses. The glasses provided in room refrigerator are so tiny that they are suitable for taking any drink. On requesting for wake up call was told that it is not possible to give wake up call. Next day when our group arrived none of the rooms were cleaned when questioned we were told that additional charges have to be paid for making up the rooms. The same was never told at check in. When we were ready to pay we were told that the housekeeping staff has already left. We were told that mopping and bathrooms haveen done but nothing was done I showed the girl Iris who was at reception no mopping was done bathroom dustbins were not cleaned towels not provided. Iris than provided some towels and expressed inability to do do anything further as there was no housekeeping staff at 6 pm. Breakfast very ordinary. On the plus side only would say that Iris was courteous. Rest of staff indifferent. Avoid this hotel by all means.

    This is a great place to stay if you want a clean, comfortable room in a convenient location at a very reasonable price. We only stayed one night before and after a trip away so we didn't take advantage of the amenities such as the pool but it was useful to have free car parking as well as tea/coffee making facilities in our rooms. The staff were welcoming and helpful and, considering the fairly central location, our room was surprisingly quiet. We would certainly stay at this hotel again.

    Good basic mid range hotel. Short walk to the esplanade bars and restaurants. Very quiet and good parking. Basic continental breakfast offered at $18 per head.

    Super friendly lady at receotion. Delightful. Clean sheets, comfortable bed, hot lovely shower with great pressure. Clean towels. Easy walking distance to Esplanade. But room is dated and has old smell. Suitable for a nights stay. Would stay elsewhere for a longer stay.

    This motel is in a quiet spot a short walk from central Cairns and the waterfront. The room, although a little dated and a bit worn was clean and generally comfortable, and would suit people who only need somewhere simple to sleep and shower.Late night arrival procedures were clear, and I was able to access my room easily. Parking was off-street and secure. I did not partake in breakfast, and didn't use the pool to comment on either.The negatives: the bed was super soft and the King is two singles pushed together rather than a genuine King size. The air-con was fine for August, but may not be up to par in the hottest months. The showerhead is set very low - I had to squat to wash my hair. None of this would prevent me staying again if the price was right. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and I felt quite rested each morning. No discernible noise from inside or outside the property.
