This hotel is located right on the water's edge with superb views of both the surfing beach and Tuggerah Lake.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 125 rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage and a car park (for a fee). Further services include room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view of the pool from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A minibar is provided. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio, a CD player, a DVD player, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The pool complex ensures comfortable swimming with its indoor and outdoor pools and pleasantly heated water. Children can enjoy a special swimming area just for them. Guests can relax and enjoy the sun loungers and parasols provided. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation.     This place is a go to all the time. I strongly recommend this to family and friends. It’s close to everywhere, shopping centres cafes and restaurants.

    Okay but not great!!

    Location great but quality of hotel poor. We were on the fifth floor with a view of the bridge. Our tv didn't work so they fixed it the next day. Then because of the bad wifi quality it just kept disconnecting from the net! The walls are not very well around proofed - you can hear the neighbours. Unit was a nice size but decor very dated. I think the hotel in general needs an upgrade in the furnishings. Good value for money and parking a breeze in the "free" public car park. We went out for a nighttime stroll but the council obviously don't believe in maintenance as a lot of the street lights weren't working and most of the shops close early leaving not a lot open for a nighttime meal. My advice would probably pick something a bit newer but not always an option in The Entrance.

    The pool’s bar was not open, the gym was closed and bagged up on the windows which looked awful, no music or anything available at the pool for a ‘resort’. No pool towels provided. Room very outdated with a mattress that sunk due to having broken springs. When we pulled back the sheets the mattress was from the 1980’s and was soiled and ripped. Window blinds were broken in every room. We spent $2200 for 4 nights and came home tired with busted backs from the terrible mattress. Room had not been properly cleaned since 2024 as we found an old receipt and a dirty pair a children’s underwear in the wardrobe. Not good enough. Very disappointing.     Reception staff were welcoming and neatly dressed. They directed as best they could to negotiate the devilish lift system if you were parked on, I think it was, Level 1A.The Oaks is in a terrific spot, close to plenty of eateries and a pleasant walk along the waterfront. Good views across the Tuggerah Lake entrance channel.The room had all that was claimed and although comfortable, was a little “tired”. There was significant creaking of the floorboards in the bedroom which, tippy toe as best we could, we couldn’t overcome.
