    Disgusting and Mouldy

    We stayed here for a night after a day of driving. We weren't expecting much but was pretty disgusted with what we got. It was so gross I felt like bathing in disinfectant after. The top of the microwave was rusty, the lamp was covered in mould, as we're both aircon units. There were previous guests hair left all over the shower. The toilet window had a bit of cardboard and duct tape covering the top half of the window. The sheets had blood stains on them and the chairs were so grotty we wouldn't sit on them and there was a Dorito chips left in the button hole of the bedhead.Adding a few cheap decorations does not count as a refurbishment. The aircons wouldn't go below 23 and the room was extremely hot and stuffy. The single beds wheels didnt lock so everytime my son moved, the bed would inch across the room. The ONLY good thing about the room was the king bed, at least that was comfortable but even that had a disgusting, very questionable stain. Would not stay here if it was free.

    How disappointing. We stayed in an executive family room. It was dirty, broken and disgusting. 5 of us in a small room with seating for 2! Coffee machine was broken, as too the iron, light cover and shower head. So dirty I could write my name on the dust on the shelf. Curtains were missing hooks. Fridge needed defrosting. Emailed our concerns and got no response from them. Never again.

    Really annoyed that the price they charged me was $90 more than that nights room rate when I looked afterwards. Annoys me that motels take advantage of people who don’t book ahead because they like to check out first. The room was not worth what we did pay. Bathroom needs a thorough overhaul. Just very budget, only redeeming feature the bed was ok.

    Clean and comfortable venue in interesting North Queensland City

    Easy access to ground floor rooms. Accommodation is clean and spacious with comfortable beds, easy chairs and good space in bathroom. Could not hear noise from the highway outside but there was an occasional plane landing as this hotel is on the flightpath to Mackay airport.Plenty of restaurants in area - about 5 minutes drive.

    So disappointed with the dealings with this property. We were booked for a night enroute from Townsville to Kepple Island for a family event. recently. Flooding meant we had to cancel our plans. After ringing the property directly, we were advised that we could defer the nights accommodation. On reaching out to the property the next day, we were advised that there would be no refund or credit held. We were told that the third party we booked through would not refund the accommodation. Not true. We reached out to Qantas Holidays and they were understanding and accommodating - as was the property on Kepple Island. It was March Polo's decision to not provide a credit to allow us to visit our family at another time. Beware booking this property - extreme circumstances are upsetting in any circumstance - no joy with this property at all. Would not recommend.
