    Pool cleanliness let it down

    Lovely spot, friendly staff, but the cleanliness of the pool really let it down. The filters were not running. There was lots of leaf litter on the bottom of the pool and lots of bugs and bark floating in the pool. The side with the childens play area was clean due to the water being moved around. The dirty pool did put a damper on our stay and at over $250 per night I did expect better.

    Would have been a good place to stay if management was better and willing to put money into the resort. Lack of house keeping and amenities to keep costs down. Ended up borrowing towels from local back packers as rooms werent serviced. Door keys intermittently worked, had to scale the balcony to get into our room as no staff on the property. Lack of cooking facilities, no bbq's or ovens. Local caravan parks are better equipped with more amenities and more cost effective. Resort is better set up for shorter stays e.g. long weekend stays.

    This place was okay. The website makes it look better than it actually is. It's looking a bit tired and could do with a makeover to be honest. The hallways were a little shabby and the doors to the rooms, most of them all chipped in some way. Our room, seemed to be missing one half of a dividing door? Raised this with reception. Our room itself, was clean enough, it's good having the washing machine facility in the room. We turned up on a Tuesday and the restaurant and bar were closed, so they had a free BBQ and you could buy drinks from reception. Also you can't just walk into the restaurant you need to make a booking! The food was okay, drinks okay as well. Service however, very good. My husband found the pool to be very good, no complaints there whatsoever.We didn't have any issues with the staff at all. In fact nothing was too much trouble for them, really helpful and professional.

    Unit wasn't clean

    Our unit wasn't clean and definitely not guest ready. Initially it looked ok but something pretty gross was overlooked by housekeeping which prompted me to give the bathroom and kitchen a wipe down which revealed that the unit wasn't really that clean after all. Food was left behind by the previous guest as well. On our last night, I mistakenly pulled the mattress cover down when I was turning down the bed which revealed what looked like vomit, urine and blood stains on the mattress. There were splatters on the curtains, walls and one of the kitchen chairs. This place really missed the mark. It's a pretty noisy place as well. The first night I was woken at 5:30am by someone moving furniture around in the unit upstairs. The second night people were screaming out by the pool and the third night the unit down the hall was having a party. They kept slamming their door and a girl kept running up and down the hall screaming and laughing at a guy chasing her. Reception staff goes home pretty early so you are on your own if you're struggling with noisy guests.

    Be aware of making a booking through booking.com at this resort!! I recently had to cancel our accommodation due to our Qantas flight being delayed. The resort won’t refund because I booked through booking.comeven though I called them as soon as we were aware of our delayed departure.
