  Lovely stay near the river, close to amenities

  I have stayed at this apartment numerous times in the past 12 months or so for work, 1-2 weeks at a time. Because each apartment is individually owned, there may be small variances within each apartment. This time I was in room 502. The layout of each apartment is very similar, and this is no different. This is a more pleasant time of the year and the humidity not as high as earlier this year. There are more cookwear in this apartment than the others, which I appreciated. My main compliment is to the staff. Because this is a family owned business, they really try very hard to cater to all the guests. As usual, the apartment is spacious, bright, clean. Minimal street noise and didn’t get much noise from the neighbours either. There is one car space in the underground cover for the apartment. It is within walking distance to amenities. I enjoy walking to the farmers market on Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Just a five minute walk. Even the Saturday racecourse farmers market is only 12 minutes away by foot. Nearest beach is 10 min away. I have not used the sauna or the pool on this stay but I have used the small gym quite a few times. Thankfully it’s always quiet and I’m the only one there (it perhaps would only fit 2 people inside).A great thing to do is morning walks along the cycle path- right outside the door!I have done more in-depth reviews of Lanai Riverside apartment in my previous review posts.

  Great location but needs a big upgrade

  Good location staff are really friendly ...the rooms are very basic walked in and it smelt mouldy and strong bleach for the price and location the bed was a queen and very uncomfortable with bad pillows also no TV in the master room won't be staying again needs a big upgrade and some TLC Karen Nelson, General Manager at Lanai Riverside Apartments, responded to this review Thank you very much for your feedback as it is truly very much appreciated. Regular upgrades are important as is maintaining a high standard for all apartments.   Comfortable stay, central, amazing staff!

  My second time visiting Lanai since last August. Similar experience:Check-in and out after hours was seamless.This time I was in room 607. The lift as well as the apartment was had a musty smell- likely related to the warm humid weather at this time of the year.The apartment layout is almost identical to the previous (see my previous review of room 307)- spacious, clean and neat.The balcony was very spacious and even bigger, having a table setting as well as outdoor lounge. The bedroom looked over the water. Main bedroom had queen sized bed while the other, two double beds. The leather dining chairs and couch was fantastic – can be wiped down for cleaning. Again, no blinds in the living room for privacy. Despite being near the street, it was quiet most of the time. Two exceptions- one evening when the apartment above had a gathering into late the evening on the balcony. Another morning, construction work started before 6am (not on the grounds). Both of these are of course, random events. The cookware and utensils were of good quality and range. The bathroom exhaust fan was not very powerful and did not combat the humidity. Shower door had a gap, resulting in water in the bathroom after a shower- slip hazard. However, I’m aware this is not uncommon for many showers. Comfortable bed. Both pillows were very flat but I’m sure they would’ve been able to provide a higher one if I’d asked (I don’t like to be troublesome!).No flyscreen door- so be mindful to keep balcony door closed in the wet season! Admittedly this is a very different experience to coming here during the dry season, where the doors can be left open and I enjoyed walks before and after walk. One thing I am conscious of, is indoor lighting. It would be much warmer and welcoming to have warm white indoor lighting instead of white light. Particularly in an era when so many are conscious of “blue light” and wearing lenses to filter that out. (White light = high percentage of blue light).The gym, sauna and pool were quiet (no crowds). Nor the lifts. I’ve never had to wait for the lift. Internet speed (wifi) can be slow and drop out. But it is secured with a password. Overall, a pleasant experience without any main issues. Special mention- The staff was exceptional. On mentioning the musty smell (I didn’t expect anything to come of it) as an aside to something else, Andrea (manning the front desk) notified the maintenance technician (Richard), who cleaned my carpet on the same day. Andrea is pleasant, professional, attentive and takes pride in her work. It does not go unnoticed! Thank you! I now specifically ask to stay here for work each time. (I realize this review contains many personal preferences but hopefully it’s useful for those who share the same ideals.) You can always call our office after hours as our calls divert to a message centre, and we will investigate and address noise concerns as they arise.Thank you also for highlighting the quality and range of our cookware and utensils, as well as the comfort of the beds, despite the issue with the pillows. We understand everyone has a preferred comfort level and do keep additional pillows on hand if needed plus there are generally extra supplies kept on the top shelf of the walk in robe area.Regarding the bathroom exhaust fan and shower door, we apologize for any inconvenience caused. It's definitely something we can address as we have been progressively replacing the shower hollow infills to prevent spillage as much as possible, and will certainly investigate the exhaust fan fault.We appreciate your understanding regarding the limitations of our amenities and services, such as the absence of blinds in the living room internet speed and dropouts.   Enjoyable- clean, quiet, good amenities

  I stayed in August for work for 1 week in room 306. As these apartments are individually owned, this review pertains only to this apartment.Clean, neat, bright and airy building and apartment. Large windows.This is a 2 bedroom apartment with 1 locked, as I was only accessing 1 bedroom for my stay.On entering the apartment, there is some bleach and musty smell, which mostly dissipated by leaving the windows open.Large and spacious, with laundry and bathroom, plus another bathroom in ensuite which was generously-sized.Large kitchen, well-equipped with cooking utensils. Pull-out shelving for pantry items. Dish washer was broken on my stay.Large balcony with tables and chairs. Very pleased to see the quilt in the bedroom is sealed in plastic, indicating that it too, has been cleaned.Large wardrobe with shelves, clothes rail with hangers.Cupboard with cleaning items- vacuum, bucket, broomstick, ironing board etc.Study area with desk and chair.Good wifi connection and speed, with password access.Washing machine musty, as the lid can’t stay open (dryer above), so doesn’t get to air/dry out.Small sauna and gym, which are clean and functional.Pleasant and helpful staff.Not noisy, even on weekend evenings, as it’s not near pubs/clubs and the residents have been quiet, plus decent sound-proofing. Although I’ve been woken up by neighbour’s washing machine in operation. ***The biggest issue***- there are no blinds in the living room!!! So any activity occurring in the combined living/dining room/kitchen can be viewed from the outside. No privacy. For some reason the developer chose not to put blinds or curtains in this area and this is something which could certainly be improved.   A comfortable place to stay

  A well equipped apartment sufficient for a comfortable stay. A very large one bedroom apartment with a well stocked kitchen, laundry, bathroom and study area. We had a very comfortable stay. However my only complaint was the blinds in the bedroom were cheap and did not sufficiently block out the sun each morning, and made the room very hot early in the morning. Otherwise great facilities, gym & pool, and very close to shopping centre. Walking distance in fact.
